TWENTY THREE

The next day at school had kind of been tough. The boys didn't know about our 'relationship', only Daniel. I had a feeling that Mike knew too, which would make sense since Jake, Mike and Daniel have always been very close.

I'd be lying if I said that I didn't avoid Daniel today. He truly did me dirty by telling Jake, although I probably would've told him myself.

I actually forgot about that night. The only thing I kind of remember is waking up naked, next to Jake on the bathroom floor. That room smelled like vomit and alcohol.

"Hey" I suddenly hear Daniel greet me as I felt a hand grab my arm. I stopped walking through the hallways and turned around, to stare right into his soul.

I thought he was literally the only one I could trust, but he proved me wrong.

"Can we talk?" Daniel uncomfortably asks me. Oh lord, please someone come help me! I want to get out of this mess.

"We have nothing to talk about, Daniel" I cross my arms.

"Look, I know Jake told you everything. I did it for you. I don't want you to get hurt" Daniel sighs.

"So? I called you because I trusted you, and you go ahead and tell Jake. I could've told him by myself" I furrow my brows at him.

"Jayde, I really care about you and don't want Luke to harm you. I really did it becaus-"

"Save it, I don't want to know why you found it necessary to tell Jake. No wait, I actually do! Go on!" I whisper yell while looking around to make sure nobody in the hallways heard this.

"Can we go somewhere private? I don't anybody to be eavesdropping-"

"Daniel! Can I borrow him for a second?" Jake suddenly yells from across the hallway.

I couldn't help but realize how our classes had already started, yet all three of us were out here.

"Well-" I cut myself off while I couldn't seem to get my eyes off Daniel. I want to know what he was about to tell me.

"We were actually talking about something" I tell Jake.

"It'll be a quick second, you'll have him back in two minutes, I promise!" Jake tells me.

"Pinky?" I ask him, holding out my pink. Jake looks around him and at Daniel.

"Well? She wants a pinky promise!" Daniel smiles. Jake quickly hugged my pinky with his.

"Pinky promise" Jake smiles at me.

"Wait here" Daniel mouths at me as he was being dragged by Jake. They were talking pretty loud. Not loud enough for me to hear it though, sadly.

I notice Jake pulling out his phone and showing Daniel something. Daniel quickly looks at me in shock and turned back to Jake with an angry face.

What the fuck are they doing?

Jake starts doing something on his phone, while I see Daniel dialing a number and bringing his phone to his ear, walking away.

What the hell! Am I some sort of dog?

This is ridiculous, I think to myself as I was starting to slowly take off. I heard running footsteps behind me as Jake suddenly placed both his hands on my waist.

"He'll be back in a second. What were you guys talking about anyway?" He asks me while giving me a kiss on my forehead.

"He was thinking about throwing a party" I say out of panic.

"Really? How come you're the first one to know?" Jake asks me.

"Well, we were talking about parties, and that's when he told me he wanted to throw one this week! It just happened a second ago. But what were you guys talking about?" I ask Jake, which made him smile like a fool.
