Imagine your lying in your bed, alone.
You stare at your curtains, jumping every time a flash of lightening creeps through the fabric of your curtains & into your sight; followed by vicious claps of thunder.
The rain hammers against your window as if there were a crowd of people throwing pebbles at your window.
You hated storms, always have. There was no way you were going to get any sleep tonight.
Every time the thunder outside rumbled, the more scared you felt.
You heard a knock on your door, so you get up to answer it; it was your boyfriend, Calum.
You open the door & neither of you say anything, Calum just steps inside & pulls you into him, hugging you protectively.
As soon as you felt his arms around you, you felt safe, protected.
He mumbled into your hair, "I didn't think you'd be able to sit through the storm, so I came straight over."
You tip-toe wrapping your arms around his neck whispering, "Stay here tonight. With me, please."
He kisses your head gently replying, "Course, babe. Always, I'll always keep you safe."
