Chapter 12

James' POV

As soon as I went home, I already saw manager Kylie looking troubled and disappointed at the same time.

"M-manager."-me. She looked at me as if I did an unforgivable thing.

"Sit down." umupo na ako sa tapat ng inuupuan niya.

"Why the hell did you act like this?!" inihagis nya sa akin ang phone niya at nasalo ko naman yon. Tiningnan ko yung phone niya at iplinay ang isang video.

"Seriously James! You're a superstar! Make one mistake and your career is at stake!"

"I'm really sorry manager. I can't help myself. She's way too much."

"You should've talk to her in private! Alam mo kung anong problema mo?! Gusto mong mapahiya si Abegail para makaganti sa ginawa niya! Kahit saang banda mo tingnan, walang tama sa inyong dalawa! Tama ba yung panlalait na ginawa mo kay Abegail ha?!"

"She deserves it! She put her very own sister in danger!"

"No one deserves to be hurt. I know very well why Phia had an asthma attack. BUT that's not the point here James. Your actions are aggressive. You gained a lot of bashers and lost some fans." tss. I just didn't dare to talk back.

"Abegail, on the other hand, is in a different situation. She's well known as the school bully at her school. Ang ipinagtataka ko, si Phia lang ang tanging binubully niya. And, all videos relating to Abegail are deleted and those who bashed her a lot are getting sued. It's a good news since that video has been deleted easily." kumunot ang noo ko.

"How can they delete something that went viral?"

"It went viral for just a few moments after it was posted on FB. The people who uploaded the video are blocked in the social media and are also being sued. Abegail's family isn't a joke, they're powerful and influential. No wonder they took care of it easily."

"They're that powerful?"

"Yes. Pasalamat na lang tayo at hindi kaagad napansin ng mga kalaban ng pamilya nila ang viral video."

"Paano yung mga estudyanteng nakakita?"

"Sa tingin mo ba maglalakas loob silang lumaban? Mas gugustuhin nilang manahimik kaysa makick out at makasuhan." oo nga naman. Sana hindi nakita ng ElDra at BBTH ang video na yon.

"By the way, di lang ako pumunta dito para pagalitan ka. I want to ask you for a favor." I looked at manager who crossed her legs and arms.

"What favor?"

"Something's bothering me. Did you notice the way Phia acts?" kumunot ang noo ko.

"I don't understand."

"Ever since all of you met her and became friends with her, don't you think she's too good to be true?" lalong kumunot ang noo ko. "I've seen actors act on tv and without cameras. They're both different. But Phia acts real well. She's legit. I can't see a single hole on her good personality. But, she gives me this weird gut that she's mysterious and has something rather dangerous."

"That's nonsense! We've been with her throughout these years!"

"Maybe she changed. That's my first impression on her. Anyway, my favor is investigate about the relationship between Paul Williams and Sophia."

"Do you mean that Paul Williams? Why?"

"Just because I'm curious." I just didn't ask her since she's not really going to tell me anything.

"By the way, can you tell me why you chose Phia over Abegail?" kumunot ang noo ni manager.

"I didn't chose between the two. They're both accepted and deserving to be a superstar. They started training before you and the others. Abegail left when you guys came in." I was kind of shocked about the information so it took me second to ask again.

"Is that true? Then why did Abegail left?"

"I don't know if I should tell you, it's rather personal. Let's just say that she's physically sick so she can't go. I'll leave now James, I have some matters to arrange because of you." nagmamadali siyang umalis. Even manager knows something.

Liam's POV

Inihatid ko si Lily sa bahay nila kasi may napapansin akong kakaiba. I need to talk to her about it.

"Lily, usap tayo sa garden niyo." tumango naman siya at sinabing kukuha lang ng makakain. Nagtungo na ako sa garden nila at umupo sa bakal na upuan.

"Is this about Phia?" sabi ni Lily pagkarating niya.

"Sort of. Ang gusto kong malaman, anong pinoproblema mo? May alam ka tungkol kay Phia na hindi mo sinasabi sa amin." lumungkot ang itsura ng mukha niya at mukhang problemado. She then gave in and sat down beside me.

"She's there. She's really at the bar that time. She's the one who said those things. I tracked Phia's phone and she's at the bar, talking to a guy who is Paul Williams. I asked tito whether she has Phia's phone. Ang sabi sa akin ni tito, ibinigay niya na ang phone ni Phia last three days pa."

"So are you telling me that she's fooling us?" umiling si Lily.

"She's protecting us from a threat from someone rather powerful. But hearing that she has a plan made me doubt my theory. Did she grew close to us and decided to cancel the plan or she's still in it and she's pretending? Nakakalito." napaisip ako ng malupet. Totoo ngang nakakalito ang mga ikinikilos ni Phia.

"Maybe she's still deciding whether to continue the plan or not. Maybe we did something to her in the past? Ayon naman ang kalimitang dahilan kung bakit nagagawa ng mga taong maghiganti di ba? Eh, naghihiganti ba sa atin si Phia?" Lily flinched.

"Goosebumps. I can't remember anything but my body does. Did I do something?"

"I don't know."

"These past few days, I'm starting to feel distant to who Phia is. It's like the more I get to know her, she's getting mysterious."
