dad: "She's in her room sleeping. She knocked out after work."
mom: "I'm sure."
dad: (sighs) "You know, you should really ease up on her... She's been through a lot in the past year and a half."
mom: "I'm just trying to be a good figure."
dad: "Don't try to be a good figure, try to be a good mother."
mom: "Are you saying I'm not?"
dad: "I'm saying that you have good intentions but they don't always come out that way."
mom: "You've seen what one person can do to her when we're not watching."
dad: "But she has two more that do watch her."

dad: "Yes. He's a nice boy, honey."
mom: "The one with the girlfriend."
