It's been three weeks since Ray has come and she's my best friend. She has a few little girlfriends and they envy our relationship but it's strictly platonic. Plus I've met someone. His name is Kobe and he's so sweet.

"Best friend" I hear from down the hallway making me turn around

Ray is so comfortable and she doesn't give a damn what anybody has to say about her. "Hey" we hug

"I made the team" she dance

"What? Congratulations" I hug her again "let me take you to lunch"

"So innocent" Ray put her arm around my neck

"When's the first game" I ask making her shrug

"She gone give us the schedule next time. How's yo boy doing" Ray ask

"He wants to take me to the game tonight" I say

"Like a date" Ray say "cheap"

"Aren't you taking Gabby to the game tonight" I ask

"Me and Gabby are going to the game" Ray say "she buying her own shit"

"I thought you liked her" I say

"I like her pussy" before she could continue I pushed her

"You do not speak like that about a lady" I say

"You got this long weave, exposing clothes, and tattoos and you're such a nice person" Ray say "not a hoodrat at all"

"No seriously" Ray say "you really gone go to the game with that boy"

"Why wouldn't I" Ray shook her head

"We hanging out before then" We go get food everyday after school unless I have to go to the church then I just drop her off

"I have to help someone study" I say making her smack her lips "I can still take you home"

"Don't worry about it. Imma ride with Gabby" she walked away and that kind of hurt my feelings. Car rides are our time not her and Gabby.

I got to the parking lot and as soon as I gave my car life Logan called me.

"Hello" I say

"Did you already leave" Logan ask

"No I'm still in the parking lot" I say

"Good, can I get a ride" Logan ask

"Yes ma'am" I say "I'm parked in my usual spot"

"Bet" Logan hang up and I let the windows down and cut the air on. After a couple of minutes Logan was getting into my car "I need to make grades like you because that car is really starting to piss me off"

"How you gone make good grades if you don't even go to class sometimes" I pull off

"Mind your business" Logan laugh

"Kobe is taking me to the game tonight" I say

"I do not like him" Logan say
