Ray Pov

"He can't continue to come to practice" Coach say "he's adorable but he's a distraction"

"Coach my mama got a rough work schedule and we can do anything about it yet" I lie like I been doing this past week and a half

"I'm sorry Ray" Coach say and walked off

Chase called me and I forward it like I been doing. We walked out of the gym and she was right at the door "I just watched you forward my call"

"Chase I don't have time right now" I say walking past her

She walked right behind me "why do you have Ramon and you have practice"

What the fuck she asking me all these questions for?

"You gone give me a ride" I ask "too cold to be walking"

"You not even talking to me and been ignoring me for a week but you want to get in my car" Chase say "I wanna say no but I'm not letting Ramon be in the cold so I guess"

All that talking just to say yes. Hate that shit.

We got to the car and I buckled him up. "I can't miss practice"

"Do you want me to take him to your house" Chase ask starting the car

"My mama not there" I say "can you watch him"

"Me? Are you sure" Chase ask

"Yes man. I already been missing practice and I just can't" I say "last practice before break"

Chase looked at me "you been missing practice"

"Man I been going through some shit" I say "failing English because I have to leave and go get Ramon to make it to basketball practice. I try to do the work but I be so damn lost"

"Ramon go like this" Chase put her hands over her ears. Ramon mimicked her and she looked at me "I'm your girlfriend! I suppose to be who you come to when you need help and every fucking thing else"

"Help me by giving me some pussy" I was only joking but her face twisted up

"Go to practice or wherever" Chase say making me look at her

"S-" she cut me off "get the fuck out for real"

I got out and she pulled right on off. She always got an attitude

Chase Pov

"Who's baby is this" my mom ask

"Rays little brother. Her mom had work and she had basketball practice so I just did the Christian thing and gave a helping hand" I say

"You forgave her" My mom ask

"She apologized and we had a long sit down" I say

"That's good" my mom nod "what is his name"

"Ramon" I say

"Ramon do you want to go get some cookies" my mom ask and he popped his head up

He forgot all about me and grabbed my moms hand. I walked to the choir room and smiled as I walked in.

"We need to talk" I say as soon as Ray get in my car. She can do all that stupid shit with somebody else.

"Ramon ass knocked out" Ray say

"He ate at the church and then we got to my house he played and I put him to sleep. I was gone buy him clothes and clean him up but I didn't know how you'll feel about that" I say
