Graduation

Chase POV

Today is the day my high school life officially ends and my young adult life start.

Although I was nervous I was pretty excited.

I got downstairs and decided that I wouldn't try to avoid my parents like I've been doing these past few weeks.

"Hey mom" I smile "how are you"

"Hello" she smile "are you excited for today" I shrugged

"My speech is finished. I'll be even better if you guys talk to me" I say

"We don't care about you dating Ray. I'm upset because it seems like you was sneaking around" my mother say "no telling what you two where getting into around this house"

I knew she was referring to sex "I still have the same respect for myself and Ray respects it. I'm not having sex until marriage"

"Good!" My mother say hugging me

"Can you please talk to daddy" I ask making her nod "thank you. I have to go pick my graduation tickets up"

"Okay hunny. Be careful" I nodded and got my keys off the hook and walked out

First I went to get Ray so she can get her tickets as well.

"Hey baby" Ray peck my lips getting in

"Hey" I smile pulling off. She scrolled on her phone while I drove. "Are you ready for tonight"

"Hell yeah" Ray say "I got some for you"

I glanced at her because I got her a graduation gift as well but I wasn't really expecting anything

"What is it" I ask

"Wait til tonight" Ray say making me nod

"I talked to my mom" I say

"Well how did that go" I hate when she talks to me while she's on her phone. I feel like she don't really be paying me any attention

"Ray, what's so important on that phone" I ask

"Man I'm on Instagram" Ray say making me roll my eyes

"I'm not a man" I say turning the radio up. At this point I didn't even want to talk to her.

I pulled up at the school and she barely let me put the car in park before she was trying to get to her friends.

I walked a great distance behind them because they be talking about things I just can't relate to.

I got in line in front of them and decided to just put my AirPods in.

After about ten minutes Ray put her arm around me from behind pulling my AirPod out "wassup with you"

I shrugged my shoulders "you talking to your friends"

"You look sad" Ray say

"I'm not sad" I say

Ray started moving her hands making me grab them "wassup" she laugh

"I don't like that" it's like when she gets around her friends she has to be extra

"Give me a kiss and I'll leave you alone" Ray say

"You wasn't even worried about me" I start "you didn't pay me any attention in the car so don't start now"

"How was I not paying you any attention" Ray ask

"I was trying to talk to you but something in your phone seemed to catch your attention more than me" I say

Ray smacked her lips and pulled her phone out. Since she was behind me she out her phone directly in our face.
