Chase Pov

I jumped up because at this point my phone just kept ringing.

It was Ray she was blowing my phone up. I had over ten miss calls and a thousand messages. I answered the FaceTime and she was crying

"I can't do it anymore! I hate it here. She keep playing with me" Who hurt my best friend at two in the morning

"Ray calm down, talk to me" I say

"My mama man. She put me out" excuse me?

"Where are you" I jump up and start looking for some clothes

"Chase I ain't finna have you driving this late" her face was puffy and I didn't like seeing her this way

"We have school in a few hours and I'm not about to let you roam around until then" I say putting some shorts on and a jean jacket. I looked a fool but I didn't care.

I slid my slides on and grabbed my keys and slowly went downstairs

"Fuck" I mumble seeing my dad was blocking me in. I couldn't send Ray an uber because my parents would get an alert about the card. "Hold on Ray" I hang up and walk to my parents room

I know daddy always bring his keys to his room. I walked in and they were sleeping of course and I started looking for the keys.

I found them on the floor and when I got down to get them my father started talking "hun get back in bed. I'm going to pick my clothes up tomorrow, I promise" his eyes weren't open so I grabbed the keys and did the dash

I got in my dads car and cut the radio off and pulled off going through the gate.

I called Ray back because I live a good thirty minutes away from her apartments. She answered and didn't even say anything "Ray are you still in your complex"

"I'm at Walmart by my shit" Ray say

"Stay there because it's too late for you to be walking around them apartments" I say

I pulled up and Ray was sitting outside of Walmart in deep thought. She really looked bad. I just watched her for a second before getting out and walking to her. I hugged her and she broke down even more.

It was a bit chilly outside and I know I looked a mess but I wasn't worried.

We finally got in the car and I pulled off towards my house not even thinking.

Ray was looking out the window the whole time and when we pulled up into my gate her face lost a little more color if that was even possible.

I parked and we got out. I sat my fathers keys on the counter and made my way upstairs with her following me.

We got to my room and Ray just looked around "you don't have to sleep with me. You can sleep in here and I'll go in a guest room"

"I'm not kicking you out of your room" Ray say "I'm not the only that'll have a problem with us sleeping together" she looked me up and down

"I want to hold you" I say "I want you to know that I'm in your corner" she looked at me weird before getting into bed.

I locked the door, pulled my jacket off, and kicked my shoes off before getting into bed with her. I have never actually slept in the bed with someone and I was really comfortable with Ray. "what yo family do? They be trapping" I laughed because I knew Ray couldn't stay serious.

We cuddled up and eventually just went to sleep. I got up to my alarm going off and of course my phone had to be on 24%.

Ray hopped out of the bed and damn near ran to the bathroom making me laugh and silence my alarm. I got up and got down on my knees and said my morning prayer. Quick and easy.
