"We just walking" I say

Logan and I were walking around the neighborhood and just having light conversation.

The police pulled next to us and we stopped walking because they turned their lights on.

They got out and they both were white.

"Y'all from around here" one ask

"Kinda. We here with a friend" one looked around

"Where's your friend" he ask

"She in the house" Logan say "can we go"

"No. We need to see some ID" What the fuck

"We were walking so we don't got it" I say

"Failure to ID" oh he got me fucked up! I'm not going to jail. No ma'am. "I'm not going to beat around the bush. This is not the neighborhood for your type of people"

"The hell you mean" Logan ask

"Shut up fool" I look at her

"Disrespecting an officer" The man raise his eyebrow "I can beat both y'all ass and not get in any trouble"

A car pulled to the side and Chase got out the backseat "hello officer is there a problem"

"Ms. Stevens, how are you" Save by the rich black girl!

"These are my friends" Chase say

Yeah this bitch is out of her mind. "Are you going to get back in the car" I looked at the Uber driver

"I'll give you one star! I'm handling business. Plus I tip really really good" Chase say

"Your friends can't identity themselves" the officer smile

Chase make that wallet talk because I can't get arrested. My scholarship would disappear so fast

Chase let out a laugh "they are running! I never in my life saw someone run with a purse. Let me call my father. The father that started a petition and put money into getting you bench riding police officers a building out here so y'all don't sit in the sun"

"Sorry Ms. Stevens. Y'all have a good day" and he walked off

"I started to whoop his ass" Logan say making me push her

"You got issues" I say as we got in Chase's Uber

"Did y'all miss me" Chase ask dancing

I wasn't in the mood.

"I did" Logan say "I really really did"

"Ray, what's wrong" Chase ask as I looked out the window

"If you didn't pull up I was about to get my ass beat and then arrested for being black in a gated community" I say

"I'm sorry Ray" Chase gave me a side hug "I know that was scary. I'll talk to my daddy"

"It's not" Chase say "if that man would've did anything to y'all on my hood I was gone let that choppa blow"
