Chapter 42

Rebecca decided to cope with losing the baby by jumping into wedding plans she already had a date picked out February 13th. Their anniversary she figured keep the same date to remember not only when Seth asked her out but when they confessed their feelings for each other. She had the dress and she wanted a backyard wedding. She walked to the back yard and the trees and shrubs made ot look so beautiful.
She thought about using their room for her and her bridesmaids and maid of honor and Colby can use the guest room for him his groomsmen and best man. Colby walked through the house with Lauren in his arms and CJ in a bassinet by the couch. He found Rebecca looking out over the balcony at the backyard and he put Lauren in her bassinet and walked out there too her and wrapped his arms around her and kissed her cheek.

Colby: Hey Baby. Why are you out here?

She pointed to all the beautiful trees and shrubs in their backyard.

Rebecca: This is perfect for our wedding. The shrubs and trees give it a natural beauty. Besides it is going to be a small ceremony with my family and yours and some co workers.
Colby: Sounds perfect. Have you picked out a date cause you know I don't care when I marry you as long as I do.
Rebecca: February 13th.
Colby: Our anniversary.

Rebecca nodded and Turned and wrapped her arms around his torso and laid her head on his chest. His heartbeat just seemed to soothe her completely. They went back in and sat on the couch and snuggled together and she fell asleep. He picked her up and carried her to the bedroom and put her in bed and wrapped her up it wasn't until she grabbed his hand that he turned back and kissed her head and walked out of the room. He went to the kitchen and began cleaning and he got the entire kitchen cleaned he moved to the living room getting the clothes up and throwing them in the washing machine and he swept the floors and even fed and changed Lauren and CJ then he cleaned the rest of the house and he decided since Rebecca would be waking up soon to cook some dinner he was cutting up some bell peppers, onion, and garlic and sauteed them in a pan while cooking some pasta in a another pot filled with water. He got some tomatoes and made a homemade sauce with them adding the sauteed the sauteed vegetables. He set the table with wine, candles and plated the food. He poured the wine and lit the candles. As Rebecca was walking downstairs and her jaw dropped.

Colby: Surprise, Love of my life.

Rebecca ran into his arms crying.

Rebecca: I love you so much. Thanks for carrying me to bed I guess the wedding plans are starting to get into my sleep.
Colby: I love you, too. Now sit down and we have our own little date night even though the little ones are fast asleep I just fed and changed them and they went right to sleep. Just like their momma they love their sleep. Something I learned the hard way.

Rebecca laughs remembering some of the times he has woken her up only to receive a fist to the throat.

Rebecca: Yeah. Sorry about all those throat punches.
Colby: All good, my wind pipe isn't totally damaged.

They laughed and talked and ate their food.

Rebecca: Wow CrossFit Jesus needs to cook for me more often.
Colby: Well the house is clean the twins are asleep wanna play video games?

Rebecca walked upstairs and grabbed her titles and had both of them across her shoulders.

Rebecca: So are you challenging The Man, Becky2Belts?
Colby: Yeah but I was Seth2Belts before Becky2Belts was a thing.

Rebecca scoffed.

Rebecca: Pick your poison.
Colby: WWE 2K18.
Rebecca: Game on.
