Chapter 49

Rebecca and Colby went to his mom's house to figure out how she got in and snatched the twins without being noticed.

Colby: Mom? You here?
Holly: Colby, I am in the living room.
Colby: Mom what happened?

They all three sit down and Holly explains the whole thing.

Holly: I was making dinner when the doorbell rang and it was.... It was......
Colby: Mom take your time.
Holly: It was your father. Not your step dad your biological father he wanted to sit down and talk. Talk about how he was sorry for leaving me when I was 8 months pregnant with you. How he wanted to know you and everything then he looked at the twins and he said they look just like you. Then I told him he needed to leave and I walked him to the door and went back to my cooking and had the baby monitor so I could hear them and before you called I didn't hear much but the tv I heard then you called and told me about Leighla and then I told you the twins were gone. It's my fault I should have made sure he was completely out of the house and the doors locked before going and cooking again. I am so sorry Colby and Rebecca.
Colby: Mom, it's ok you didn't know. We still love you. And we will find the twins.

After 8hrs of searching every possible location for Leighla they found her and the twins in Texas trying to cross the border luckily the nationwide warrant for her and the amber alert for the twins helped border patrol arrest her and extradite her back to Iowa where she will be facing a list of charges that extends from North Carolina all the way to California. Colby's father was arrested too after he was found with all three of them claiming that Leighla was their mother and he was the father. But after the testimony from Holly and the fact that his cell phone was pinging off towers around the time he was there and around the time the twins went missing. Of course a police officer had to fly with the twins, Leighla, and Colby's father back to Iowa. For Colby and Rebecca it was the longest 18hrs of their life but the next day they got a call from the police station.

Police officer: Mr. Lopez I have good news and bad news. The twins are ok no injuries or anything. The bad news is that the judge wants you to testify at the hearing tomorrow.
Colby: That's fine. Me and my wife will be there as soon as possible.

Colby wakes Rebecca up and they haul ass to the station and the officers brought the babies.

CJ: Mama!
Lauren: Dada!

They both started crying minute they saw them. And they didnt stop crying.

Colby: We got them back and this time we won't ever lose them again.
Rebecca: No kidding got any other crazy exes I should know about?
Colby: Not that I know of. I love you, Red.
Rebecca: I love you, too, Hotness.

They finally got their babies back and the twins didnt drop any F bombs either thankfully for them. They didn't need to explain to the officers how the kids picked that up. The entire ride home was silent and Becky looking in the back seat makimg sure the twins were still there. She was so happy to have her twins back and so was he.
