Hailey's P.O.V

I woke up to the sound of my alarm, I don't even know why I have this song, it starts really soft and then it progressively tears my eardrums apart. Don't get me wrong: it's the only way to wake up.

Suddenly, the realization hit me. It was the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!! I ran towards the bathroom and took a quick shower, changed into the outfit I deliberately chose the night before and applied some make-up. As I was putting my shoes on I heard my brother scream.

"Hailey we're gonna be late, move your butt!"

And he's back, my brother Marcus is a senior, and one of the most popular guys in school. I really don't know how he manages it; I don't think he had any sleep tonight since he stayed at a party till very late.

Before I left I glanced at myself in the mirror. My dark brown hair was perfectly combed, my almond eyes were looking as brown as usual, and my adorable freckles were just in place.

"Coming!" I yelled, grabbing my bag and rushing through the door.

As I got off the car and made my way towards the school, I spotted my friend, Emily. She had long, dark blond, golden hair and a pretty face. She loved all things to do with art and was really quite creative and intelligent. "Hey" I greeted her. "How's it going?"

"Great, I went to Art Camp this summer, and I met the cutest guy..." Emily started talking, I already knew the story, she had called me two days ago. As she kept on talking I glanced at the different people standing in the parking lot.

After some time I saw Laela, Hannah and Lexi. They've been best friends since like forever. Laela is a tall, tanned girl with long curly brown hair, with a strange obsession over Tik Tok but a nice, funny personality. Hannah, on the other hand, is sporty and is the best player in the basketball team,  she'll probably be the captain this year. She has green eyes, long brown straight hair, and strangely enough, a crush on my brother. Lastly, Lexi, she is the gossip holder, she knows absolutely everything about everyone. She's shorter than both Laela and Hannah, she has blond hair and brown eyes.

As I was entering, Noah approached me with a sympathetic smile. Noah is really tall, blond and well-built with the brightest blue eyes. We had been talking loads over the summer and we had actually become very close. He had told me everything about his summer crushes, and how much fun he had with his new group of friends from camp, his summer hook-ups and his parties. Cameron walked by his side, he is a bit shorter than Noah but I always thought he was one of the cutest guys in our grade. Noah told us some of his jokes as usual, but for some reason, I couldn't help but notice the way Cameron combed hair with his fingers, he's got this floppy, dirty blonde hair and the most incredible blue eyes I've ever seen. Most people have darker blue eyes, but his are like a sky blue. I felt like I could stare into them all day long. The way they crinkle up when he laughs, his little nose and the way he speaks are just so cute,  everything about him is cute. I started to feel those butterflies in my stomach...

"Hailey?Hailey! Come on! We're late to form, you know what happens when Miss Winnie gets mad!"

"Sorry, Emily!" I nervously replied

"I really don't know what's going on with you today!"

"I don't either!" I said, but I really meant it, what just happened there!

Emily laughed enthusiastically and we both made our way inside our classroom.

"I bet this is going to be our year, am I right?" she smiled. 

Junior year... It sure was going to be exciting!
