Trevor walked to a waiting room and sank down on a hard chair as he prepared himself for a long wait. He was almost wondering if he should go home and get some stuff to do while Olivia was in surgery and while she was in the recovery wing. But he couldn't pull himself from the chair, and he ended up holding Olivia's engagement ring and flipping it around. He sat their for a while before the seats beside him were taken up. Trevor went to move because he didn't want to sit between strangers, but instead, he looked and saw Captain Cragen and Elliot sitting there.
"What are you two doing here?" Trevor asked quietly.
"We came to sit with you while you waited," Cragen replied.
"You two didn't have to do that... and my Mom might be coming up to sit with me. She also wants to make sure that Olivia is doing good once she is out of the operating room." Trevor replied.
"Your parents like her?" Elliot asked, and Trevor nodded.
"They love her. Like, they absolutely adore her." Trevor smiled softly. He ran his fingers through his hair before sighing and looking at the engagement ring.
"You proposed?" Elliot breathed.
"Before she went into surgery. She was angry because she couldn't wear the ring as soon as I showed it to her." Trevor replied.
"Congrats, tree-... Congrats, Trevor." Elliot breathed, and Trevor sighed softly.
"Call me tree boy if you want. It doesn't bother me that much anymore. I'm tall, and I know that. Right now, I'm gonna call my mom and see where she is."

When Olivia woke up in the recovery room, her fiance was sitting beside her and he was just slipping her engagement ring onto her ring finger. Olivia smiled, even if it was shaky and she was still half asleep.
"Trev. It fits perfectly." Olivia smiled, and Trevor looked at her as a sigh of relief left his lips.
"I'm so glad that you are awake. How are you feeling?" Trevor questioned.
"I can't feel my knee, so I guess I'm doing much better. How are you?" Olivia asked, as she reached out and caressed Trevor's cheek. Trevor gently rested his hand against hers before sighing.
"I'm good. Elliot and Captain Cragen sat with me. And my mom showed up and made me hold her ball of yarn while she was knitting so that was fun." Trevor spoke with a small laugh. Olivia smiled before pulling him down to kiss him. They kissed several times before Trevor helped her lean back. Then he fixed her hair a bit before smoothing it for a while.
"I think my hair is fine, Trevor."
"They know that we are engaged. I'm kinda nervous that Elliot might say something mean to you when he comes in to see you. I'm sorry that I told them. I was just playing with your engagement ring-"
"They'd have to find out at one point or another. So, I'm glad you told them. Now, when can I get out of here?" Olivia questioned.
"Not for a while, Livvie love. So until that, I'm not leaving your side."

It was a couple of hours before Olivia was taken back to her normal room. She was still laying in her bed, but she was more awake and ready for visitors. Elliot was the first one in because Trevor was out in the hall talking to the others that had joined the waiting game.
"Benson." Elliot sighed as he walked into the room. Olivia let out a disgusted sigh before rolling her eyes.
"What are you doing here?" She huffed, and Elliot smiled as he leaned down to hug her.
"Glad you are feeling good enough to be sassy. How are you doing?" Elliot asked as he sat down beside her bed.
"I'm good. My leg hurts a bit, but I'm going to be strong and not take any medicine." Olivia spoke.
"Don't let yourself suffer," Elliot replied.
"I'm okay. I'm fine and I'll be okay." Olivia spoke. She shifted in her hospital bed before looking at him.
"So?" Elliot asked.
"What to see my ring?" Olivia asked, and Elliot bit his lip before going to shake his head. But then he nodded. He didn't want to hurt his best friend. He just wanted her to be happy, even if she's happy with Trevor Langan.
"I saw it when Trevor was playing with it earlier, but it has to look different on your hand," Elliot replied, but Olivia didn't show him her ring.
"Uh, I'll just show it to you later. When you aren't trying your hardest to play nice. Why don't you tell me about how the kids are doing. How they are adjusting to Eli." Olivia spoke, and Elliot frowned before shrugging.
"Just like with the rest of my kids, Eli is a little brat most of the time. But the kids all like him. Well, they all love him. Kathy and I like having another kid."
"Good, well the gift we got for you guys is getting shipped soon. You'll like it."
"What is it, Liv?" Elliot asked, and Olivia smiled.
"The kids gave us copies of their footprints from their birth certificates and when Eli was born they gave us a copy of his. We got them printed up on a piece of wood or something and it has their names on it... It's stupid, I know. But-"
"Kathy and I will love it. I know we will. Thanks, Liv. And I guess I should also thank your fiance." Elliot smiled.
"Are you sure?" Olivia asked.
"I'm sure. Kathy was talking about doing something special, and now we have something special to show everyone that we have a ton of kids." Elliot laughed. Olivia laughed softly before moaning a bit because of the pain in her knee.
"You need some medicine, Liv. I'll go get your nurse." Elliot spoke as he went to move from the room.
"No, I'm fine. Just sit and talk to me. Help me keep my mind off my knee throbbing." Olivia sighed. Elliot looked at her nervously before nodding slowly.
"Okay, what would you like to talk about?" Elliot asked.
"Anything but my knee."
