Olivia sat on the edge of her bed as tears ran down her cheeks. She was hoping that once she and Trevor started dating and then got engaged that what seemed like a permanent change in his demeanor was actually permanent. Instead, he kept his anger and meanness deep down. It broke Olivia's heart to think that the man she loved was a jerk. Again.
"Liv, I'm sorry for being such an ass." Trevor breathed, as he stood outside of their closed bedroom door.
"Why are you like this?" Olivia whimpered.
"I'm sorry. It's just that I'm tired. It won't happen again." Trevor replied quietly.
"Really? It won't happen again? Trevor, you haven't changed at all! I thought you were finally a good guy, but now I don't even know what I got myself into. Like, are you going to keep me away from Elliot for the rest of my life? Make me quit my job? Or are you actually going to take this baby from me?" Olivia squeaked, as she opened the door and stared at Trevor.
He kept his eyes away from hers and ran his fingers through his thick brown hair.
"When something like this happens... I really have a hard time keeping my temper in check. My inner-"
"No, Trevor. Don't use the fact that you are a defense attorney as an excuse to be an ass." Olivia spat. Trevor frowned and looked down at Olivia before sighing softly.
"I'll change, Liv. I promise. I'll change and I'll never be like this again. Please don't kick me out." Trevor whispered. He reached out to grab Olivia's hand but she stepped back and shook her head.
"The damage is done, Trevor. Elliot was fine with us being together, but now he isn't. Now I don't know if I am anymore either."

Trevor couldn't leave Olivia alone because he was scared that maybe something would happen. He didn't want to leave her alone and have her hate him if she started bleeding again and couldn't get to the hospital quick enough to save their child's life again. So he slept on the very short couch. He kept tossing and turning as he heard Olivia wake up every once and a while in the bedroom and start crying.
At one point, Olivia came out of the bedroom and quietly walked over to the couch. She looked down at Trevor before shoving him a bit.
"Trevor." She whispered.
"Yeah?" He whispered back.
"What are we gonna do? Everythings so messed up and I don't want our baby to think it's a mistake because we broke up and never got back together. I don't want to be the mom who shit talks about their child's father because he left them. Or because she pushed him away." Olivia whispered. Trevor sat up and helped Olivia sit down before grabbing her hand.
"I'll go apologize to Elliot. I'll make everything better. And if you don't want to be with me anymore, we can co-parent and be at least nice to each other around the baby." Trevor replied.
Olivia felt like she did when she first started falling for him. She still felt weak in the knees while around him, and she still found herself wanting him even if he is a jerk. She wanted to be with him even if he was a bad guy.
"Take me over to see Elliot in the morning. We all need to try and make this work... you both are important to me... and I don't want to have to pick between my best friend and the guy I want to spend the rest of my life with."

At around ten, Olivia and Trevor finished eating breakfast before heading out. Olivia was nervous and she knew that Trevor was too. She hesitantly grabbed his hand as they drove out to Queens, and he held onto it for dear life.
"So what should I say?" Trevor asked, and Olivia frowned as she kept her eyes focused on the road. She couldn't move her neck, so she had to just pass the time by watching what was ever in front of her.
"I'm not going to tell you what to say. Elliot will know if you are lying and just pulling a bunch of bullshit from your ass to apologize. He's not dumb as you have made him seem in the past." Olivia huffed.
"I called him dumb once before you and I even started seeing each other..." Trevor trailed off.
"I don't care. Be sincere. Tell him what you told me. That you are overwhelmed and tired because this all happened at a horrible time. Don't say that you were an ass just because you are a defense lawyer. That didn't work with me and it really won't work with Elliot." Olivia replied.
"Okay. And I need to apologize to Kathy too... huh?" He questioned as he glanced over at his fiancee. Or whatever Olivia is to him at this moment. In the last few weeks, they went from a happily engaged couple to being broken up, then being an unhappily engaged couple.
"Were you an ass to her too?" Olivia huffed.
"I've been an ass to everyone. Even Cragen... I bitched him out because he hadn't even gone to see you. He was just too busy checking in on Elliot." Trevor groaned as he rolled his eyes.
"Apologize to Elliot and Kathy. Then Cragen. Then Alex."
"Why Alex?" Trevor huffed.
"Because she told me what you said while waiting for me to wake up. She's a huge part of our lives, Trevor. And we need her. She'll be the fun Aunt that keeps our child sane when we are crazy."

Olivia awkwardly got out of the car and walked up the path to the front door of Elliot's house. She made sure not to slip because a fall wouldn't be good for her or her child. She rang the doorbell and waited several moments for someone to answer the door. She felt when Trevor walked up behind her and gently touched her back, but she didn't shake like she usually does when the love of her life kisses her or touches her.
She was too pissed off for chills.
Eventually, the door slowly opened and Elliot looked at the people on his front stoop.
"Liv... tree boy."
