They had been there to save him, and they had done it. It was a win for the Heroes, a loss for the Villains.

But the story did not end there. It ultimately spiralled into a battle for their own lives, one of which would change both their own forever. He... my %!#@%#%$%!^!

An Hour Ago―In Another Location

...Something feels wrong...

None... none of this feels...

...Hey, can you hear me..?

"W-Wha... huh..?" The girl slowly rouses from her sleep, her fingers beginning to twitch and sensation returning to her. "I'm... Where is..?"

An unfamiliar room. With the use of a night vision 'Quirk', she's able to see what this room was; it looked almost like a hospital's operation room, where patients are taken to to undergo surgery and such. Dried blood could be seen on the walls, and the pristine white floors had very small cracks in its edge that almost made it look old.

But her distraught only settled in when she realised that her body was strapped to some sort of contraption... and something was strapped around her head.

Almost immediately, Izumi started panicking, eyes shifting everywhere and trying to make sense of things. "W-Where is this..?"

We don't... have time...

"Who... Who are you..?" She muttered, closing her eyes. "I can hear you..."

I... I'm... No, I can't say. It would be better to be left unsaid...

The choice of words confuse her, but the voice resumes speaking.

Your brother... In this game of chess, you are the fated pieces meant to overthrow the King... You must make your move, or else your game is over.

Somehow, despite the simple way it was said, it still worked to make her worry, a gulp down her throat that made her a little nervous.

She tried looking around the darkness, trying to see if there was anything that could tell her where this was. Alas, none of this was familiar.

...No, this is familiar. Or rather, it was, yet evoked such a sense of familiarity that she couldn't help but feel like she knows this room... One that, for some reason, seems to whisper nothing but bad memories into her ears.

Do not let your memories burn... Wake up from this fleeting dream that shackles you, let go of the binds around your limbs... Please, wake up from limbo. End this cycle of repetition. Grasp it..! Your fa―

*Kuh-chunk..!*

Izumi's eyes shot towards the door, swinging inwards.

"T-Tomura..." She muttered. Those blood red eyes that were always full of grief and pent-up hatred, along with that pale skin and ghostly hair of his... How could she ever mistake her for someone else? "W-Where am I?"

This is your home... But you shouldn't be here.

"It's nothing, Izumi. Just... We're going to do something to you. Fix you, I suppose," sighs the grey-haired man. Beside him, there stood a tall figure with some sort of white mask, clad in black robes. "So Doctor, think you can do it again?"

His laughter is raspy, almost hollow yet deathful all the same. "Of course I can, lad! I am always pleased to lend you my services," he moves around the room, fetching some things before he returns to her, gagging her against her permission. "We've had this dance so many times, I would be happy to waltz again! Come, my girl. Be reborn anew!"
