The Next Day—Hosu General Hospital
It's one thing after another, with stress, stress, and more stress piled up on top of each other that makes him want to find a part of the world where he could just hide himself in. So that no one would ever be able to find him, and he'd be safe forever.
Then again, if he did that, he was certain that a good number of people were going to panic with his departure, so he discarded that thought, even if it did sound rather tempting sometimes.
What really made him feel this way?
Well, the first thing on his plate was when his cover as Mikumo, which wasn't even two months old (if he's not wrong), is immediately blown when Stain uncovers him, literally, and reveals his true identity to the world.
It's bad enough that he literally ripped his mask off of his face and was standing directly in front of the camera at that moment. Add to the fact that he called him out as Izanagi was just the end.
Even then, he held onto that small chance that people might just not recognise him. Stain hadn't spoken his real name, after all. And Izanagi still hadn't operated yet, so no one were going to know him (except his teachers... and his classmates. Damn). That, and because he had green hair and eyes, whereas the night had revealed to the world black hair and equally black eyes.
Two, when they got to the hospital, he had to explain just about everything to the girls (his friends and team). The situation was bad enough with him having gotten exposed like that, but he didn't have to worry about anyone getting hurt. He was, at best, the only who got injured, after all, so he'll take that win.
The only problem? When Himiko tried to feed him his food, to which Katsumi, Konako, Shirayuki and even Eri butted in and tried to take that chance.
He will never understand girls.
The third came in the form of Tsuragamae, the police chief of Hosu city. A tall person with a suit and with a head of a dog. Even so, he had been extremely strict, giving a lecture about how reckless they were and how they shouldn't have fought the Hero Killer, aiming most of his disappointment towards Izuku, who had been involved in all of this.
Thankfully, the praises came after for protecting the peace, along with Izuku's decision to project the Hero Killer's defeat as Mikumo's actions―it was the right call after all, to hide the fact that Katsumi and Shirayuki had played a part in his defeat. And thankfully, Tsukauchi had explained that he and his team will find some way to deal with the possible backlash from his 'reveal', one way or another, so he should focus on getting some rest.
Still, knowing that the Stain video would get out onto the web, and soon enough, the whole world worried him. Everyone would know him. He felt so fxxked, and he wanted to jump out of the window already.
The plan was for the boy and girls to stay mute about the situation, shifting all the attention to Mikumo Akatani. But then his mask had to be taken off, and soon enough, everyone would know it was him, Izuku, who was the person who fought Stain.
The final one was...
'I'm honestly shocked to see that Shirayuki lost her chill back there,' he said to himself, remembering just how quickly she had been to stand and bark her disagreement to stay silent. She was a little miffed about getting lectured. 'Well, Katsumi did too, but that's her...'
He would've been more surprised if Katsumi didn't lash out.
Now, here they were, the light of the day beaming through the large windows of their—err, his hospital room, since they had to be put in separate rooms due to gender (Katsumi and Shirayuki only came here because they didn't want to stay in their room). Izuku sat in his loose hospital gown, looking more tired than he was actually scared of the situation.
