They stayed like that for about five more minutes, this unknown creature suddenly disappearing as if it had never stepped foot into the house. Where did it come from, where did it go? Jeno had no clue.
Nana had his eyes shut, Jeno looking at the younger's face that still held fear on his features. The poor boy looked so vulnerable, so weak as he clung to Jeno still. It made the dark haired feel bad, almost wanting to find a way to help this mysterious man.
But this was just insanity. Being in a different dimension? He can't continue to come back here. They're apart of two separate worlds that should have nothing to do with each other. It's still hard to believe that this place exists, even with all the evidence in front of his face.
"Nana?" Jeno said quietly after waiting a few seconds since the noises stopped and the monster disappeared.
The boy looked up carefully, his doe eyes staring back into Jeno's. The older gulped, not knowing what to do now and waiting for further instructions from the other.
Nana just gazed at him, listening for a moment before sighing. He slowly stood up, grabbing Jeno's hand as well and causing him to follow. He slowly pushed the closet door open, the sunlight blinding them for a second.
They both walked out, Jeno stopping in his tracks as Nana's hand slid away from his.
"What the hell was that?" Jeno said seriously, his eyebrows furrowed while he waited for any sane explanation.
Nana seemed on edge still, twirling his thumbs as he averted his eyes away from the older. "I... I don't know myself. They just show up sometimes, and can be h-harmful."
Jeno noticed his hesitance to say that they were harmful, making him wonder if he knew this from personal experiences. His eyebrows creased in concern as he once again noticed how ripped his clothes were, wondering if that thing was the reason the younger looked so disheveled.
"Has... has it hurt you before?" Jeno asked slowly, watching as the younger tensed.
The tenseness in the air didn't go unnoticed and Jeno decided to drop the subject, seeing how uncomfortable Nana got.
"It's ok, you don't have to answer, I just have one more question," Jeno said softly, the younger peering at him through his eyelashes.
"Yes?"
"How did you get here?"
The silence was back as Nana seemed to think about something. It seemed very eerie, absolutely no noise filling their surroundings except the sound of their breathing and the faint noises coming through the mirror. It was very uncomforting.
"I honestly don't know. I sometimes get dreams about what I think happened, but I can't be sure," Nana said quietly.
Jeno stood there and felt the urge to do something, anything to get this boy out. But it wasn't his problem. He has his own life and this boy has his. There is no reason for both their worlds to intermingle.
