"Hey... Jeno?" Nana spoke softly from behind the older, Jeno turning and looking towards him with curious eyes.
"Yes?"
"Can we," Nana twiddled his thumbs, looking around like he was asking something childish. "Can we go outside? I really liked it out there."
Jeno smiled for a moment, looking at Nana and finding the request frankly adorable. But he doesn't blame the man, he's been cooped up inside the mirror and only got a short taste of the outside world not too long ago.
"Of course."
They both walked to the back of the house, Jeno sliding the heavy back door open with all his strength, minding his injuries. A gust of fresh air hit them that was cool and fresh, but weirdly warmed them up.
Jeno reaches a hand out for Nana, the younger gently taking the hand in his and stepping outside onto the patio. The smell was clean and no longer filled with dust and drywall, Nana taking a deep inhale and resting his arms on the railing. The dark haired man joined the other and rested his bare arms on the cold railing, looking out into the field behind his house.
"Is this... is this really over?" Nana whispered, taking in the beautiful sight of nature.
"I suppose it is," Jeno answered and never broke his stare.
"It's hard to fathom... after all the hard work and attempts we made to get out, I never thought the day would come... I never thought I could actually make my monster disappear," Nana said and averted his gaze to Jeno, the older doing the same.
"I know... it's hard for me to fathom and I wasn't trapped in there for many years," Jeno chuckled as his eyes folded into crescents.
Nana also smiled. "I owe you a lot, Jeno. Because of you, I'm finally out of that hell and able to live a normal life. And I've never felt so... complete, I suppose I should put it."
Jeno smiled at him and looked between his hazel orbs, never seeing them shine so brightly. Nana raised a hand and placed it on the older's shoulder, stepping closer and tearing himself from the railing.
No words were spoke, but it was if thoughts were being shared without voicing them. Nana closed his eyes and leaned in, not quite knowing how to do this and only following what his heart told him.
Jeno fluttered his eyes shut as well, feeling Nana's lips press against the corner of his mouth before pulling away instantly. The man looked away, cheeks aflame with a red hue as he rubbed the back of his neck.
"S-sorry... that-I messed it up," Nana said and cursed himself inwardly, making a constipated face as he tried to ignore that he had just missed the older's mouth.
