Mr. Na froze.

He watched the two only about a foot away, hand outstretched and throat running dry.

His outstretched fingertips slowly began to glow the same blue color, nails disappearing into thin air as the disintegration traveled up his fingers.

The monster scoffed, catching both of their attentions as Nana looked towards his monster with sparkles in his eyes, looking like he had woken up for the first time in years.

All that was needed was an act of affection for Nana to forget his monsters? Mr. Na found it ironic, especially due to who the kiss was ignited with. After all this time, that was all it took for him to finally disappear, but it didn't matter much to him anymore. It wasn't as much fun ruling the world without someone by your side.

"Fine... you win," Mr. Na grumbled, crumpling to the ground with limbs withering away. "But just know... this isn't over..."

Nana felt his heart beating inexplicably fast in his rib cage, thumping against the bones as he felt a feeling wash over him that hadn't been present in god knows how many years. He finally felt needed, and that was the feeling he had subconsciously always chased after.

"It's time I let go of my past..," Nana whispered to his monster, ignoring the threats. "Goodbye."

Mr. Na glared at his stupid reflection, then looking towards the ground as blue covered his vision.

Jeno felt Nana's grip tighten on his hand, watching as the monster faded out of reality.

Everyone watching was stunned, not moving an inch from their spots as they observed the second monster finally disappear for good.

The house became silent, and for once in a long time, actually held a resting peacefulness.

Jeno looked at Nana and the man did the same simultaneously, the dark haired giving him a big smile while shaking both their hands.

"We did it," Jeno whispered almost too quietly, but the other heard as a huge smile spread across his face and his heart swelled with happiness.

"You did it!" Chenle screamed, both of them looking over to the boy who sprinted to them with a hand over his eye, but soon removing it to give both of them the tightest hug ever.

Donghyuck smiled and walked over despite his painfully throbbing arm, joining the little hug and sighing in deep relief. Soon after, Mark joined too and waved over his brother who rolled his eyes, but eventually complied.

Chenle whooped loudly, shaking everyone around him while feeling tears form in his eyes. Everyone smiled and joined the boy in the cheers, proud of themselves for making it out okay and finally defeating the terrorizing monsters.
