Jeno felt his eyes getting heavy as the sound of soft snores increased his tiredness and put peace to his mind. But he couldn't let himself fall asleep yet, so he decided to just recline the seat back up in order to try and stay awake.
He tiredly looked back at the peacefully sleeping Jaemin, keeping it in his mind how cut he looked while snuggled underneath a spare jacket that rose up to his chin. He was curled into a small ball, trying to stay as warm as possible.
The dark haired man sighed and ran his fingers through his hair, starting the engine in order to look at the digital time that displayed itself on his dashboard.
2:28 am. That seemed late into the night, but also not too early. Jeno decided that maybe now was a good time to head back, so he turned back to Nana and placed a hand softly on his curled up thigh.
"Nana," he whispered, shaking his leg slightly. The other shifted and groaned a bit, not wanting to get up. "Nana, we must go now."
Nana cracked his eyes open and looked down towards Jeno, barely seeing him from hardly any light around them. "Go where?"
Jeno shook his head and reached over his seat again. "Are you ready?"
Nana was way too tired to process anything, so he just softly nodded his head and shifted himself onto his back. Jeno pulled the lever once more, lifting the seat so that Nana was back to sitting up. But what caught him off guard was how close shifting the seat had brought their two faces together.
Nana was startled momentarily and pressed his head into the seat, Jeno almost pulling back, but for some reason stopping himself. His arm was still on the far side of his seat, right next to the younger's hip as his lips slightly parted.
The same feeling he had from when they played the piano together came back, and Jeno found himself unable to move back, no matter how uncomfortable this was.
But the one to break the silence was Nana, his cheeks having turned red and his awareness fully back. "Are... are we heading b-back now?" he cursed himself for stuttering.
Jeno blinked and realized what he was doing, instantly placing himself back into his seat as he cleared his throat. "Y-yes, we should go now."
Nana nodded and wiped at his cheeks, as if he could get rid of his flustered-ness just by doing that.
Jeno pulled out of the large parking lot, heading down the road and surprisingly not taking that long to get back to his house. The two men looked at each other for a minute, readying themselves for what they would face once they entered his home.
"We got this, yeah?" Jeno said convincingly, giving the younger a reassuring look.
Nana was nervous, beyond nervous actually, but they had to do something. They had to finish this story once and for all, and take matters into their own hands. So he nodded, being the first to climb out of the car.
