"Chenle, I'll be back. Is there anything you or Jisung need while I'm out?" Jeno asked while concentrating on sorting his wallet, making sure he had plenty of green dollars for his little excursion.
His butler yelled a loud 'no' throughout the house, rattling the walls and making the man flinch. Jeno felt bad for Jisung's ears since he was closer in proximity to the yell because they were cleaning the kitchen together.
"Okay, I'll be back then," Jeno shook his head and silently snickered to himself. If Chenle wasn't there to irritatingly give him company, Jeno thinks he might be lost in the world.
The man claimed to them that he was just going to the store for crucial reasons, but honestly, he needed out of his house and to stroll along town for a little while. Sometimes it was nice to just clear his mind even though things were still pretty smooth in recent days.
Deciding to walk the entire way, Jeno grabbed a not-too-flashy jacket and wrapped the black clothing around his shoulders, also wearing some nice tennis shoes that you didn't see him in often. Usually he'd have to be dressed all formal for his business that he now owns, and wearing comfortable clothes was a major treat.
Jeno folded his hands in his pocket and left the jacket open. The only reason he was wearing the thing was because the clouds didn't look too perfect, but the warm breeze was enough to keep him perfect temperature wise.
The dark haired man glanced at passerbyers, some saying small hellos as he nodded back kindly at them. Eventually, his mind wandered off into an unknown world, leaving Jeno aimlessly walking the streets.
It had been a few months since the whole mirror incident had ended now, and Jeno was living the best he could. He was promoted to boss of the company once ruled by Mr. Na, and having his parents and old friend back made him feel less alone.
Of course, there was still something that twisted in his stomach when he thought back to those days, seeming so far away and distant now. He tried not to think too much about a certain someone since a weird emotion would take his heart and slowly start squeezing it to death.
He did wonder often how Nana was doing, how he and his mom are holding up and if he had made any new achievements. Like he had thought, there is so much in life that he has missed for the past ten years, and the dark haired bet anything that he was enjoying all his discoveries.
Jeno let a faint smile cross his pink lips, only now noticing that he had finally reached town. People were bustling in and out of stores and bakeries, some with their families and some by their lonesome. Jeno, of course, fit in with the latter.
As he walked by the many shops while glancing around, he noticed a Japanese steakhouse that made a nice memory fill his mind. He smiled momentarily, not watching where he was going and accidentally bumping into someone.
