The drive was mostly silent, we were all exhausted. Sam and Colby continued to explain what was happening to the camera, but other than that we didn't want to talk.

The cabin looked nice when we pulled up to it, but it still looked so scary under the moonlight. We all filed out of the car, I immediately went to Colby, grabbing his hand. My other hand bundled the extra fabric from the sleeve of my sweatshirt.

We walked up the stairs quickly, as it started to pour down rain. Sam looked for the key in his pants, but started to panic as he couldn't find it. "Can you not find the key??" Corey said as he crouched down to help Sam look. "No! I have no idea where it is! I had it earlier at the witches house for sure." He was frantically looking through everything trying to find it. "Did I give it to you??" He said and looked up at Colby. "No I don't think so." Colby said as he let go of my hand and checked his pockets. "Should we check the car?" I said and bit my lip nervously, "yeah, I have no idea where else it could be." He said we all turned to go back to the car.

We searched for what felt like forever, but we never found the key. "Do you think you left it at the witch's house??" Colby said and let out a sigh. "I-I don't know...maybe." Sam was started to get more and more upset and frustrated, "hey it's okay..if we don't find it we will figure it out." I said softly giving him a reassuring smile. Corey shivered next to me, "what do you mean it's okay? That's our place to stay Cora.. if we don't have a key to get in then we are fucked." His tone was a little aggressive, causing me to shudder. Don't cry. He's just flustered. He doesn't hate you. "Hey, take it easy she's just trying to stay positive." Colby said and turned to Corey. "What we need isn't positivity. We need a key." Sam sighed, "can we call that witch...to see if I left it at her house?" Colby nodded, "yeah, let's just go there and hope she answers."

He started the car and pulled out to go to the witches house. As we drove, Corey patted my shoulder gently, "I'm sorry for snapping at you, I didn't mean it." I nodded, "I forgive you." I said and smiled slightly at him. Truthfully I wasn't upset at him, this was a very tense situation and I would rather take the backlash of it than anyone else right now.

We pulled up and parked in front of her house. "Alright let me call her." Colby said and dialed her number, bringing the phone to his ear. After a while he shook his head, "she didn't answer.." I closed my eyes and took a deep breath as Sam and Colby both gasped, "shit shit shit...everyone get down." Sam said as we saw five people standing in the driveway, hoods up. They walked to us slowly, causing me to panic. I felt all the air leave my chest as I tried desperately to stay quiet. Black spots riddled my vision as they got closer. Jake put his arms around me, trying to cover my body, but also keeping my shaking under control. "Sam call out!" Colby said as Sam rolled the window down. His voice shook as he called out, "hello?!"

"Oh it's Sam and Colby!" A familiar voice said causing the car to breathe a sigh of relief. My lungs still struggled for air as Jake let go of me. The witch from earlier stood by the drivers side, "hey we tried to call you, do you know if we left the key to cabin here?" Colby said, "Um..I'm not sure but you can come check if you want."

Sam and Colby got out of the car and went inside to look, coming back a few minutes later. "Did you find it?" Corey said as they got in the car. "Found it..thank god." Sam said and held up a small silver key.

I took a sigh of relief and we headed back to the cabin, this time feeling much better.

"This place is creepy as fuck." Corey said as we walked up the stairs again. Sam pulled the key out and turned the knob.

The inside was cozy, but it looked like nobody had been here in years. "Better than the woods." Sam mumbled and locked the door behind us. We slowly made our way through the cabin, it was silent, almost too silent. Colby laced his fingers through mine and rubbed his thumb against the back of my hand reassuringly, "you okay?" He whispered to me as we walked. I nodded and smiled softly at him, "I don't think I'm gonna be able to sleep." Corey said and plopped on the couch. Jake was already fast asleep in a armchair in the corner. "Well we can see if there's any movies we can watch.." Sam said looked in the cabinet next to the tv. He pulled out a couple movies, "Colby pick a movie." He said and tossed them to Colby, then turned to try and figure out the DVD player.

"What do you think?" Colby said and showed me the movies, most of them were horrors. "That one." I said and pointed to The Hangover, since it was the most light hearted one, and the last thing we needed was to be more scared. "Good choice." He said and tossed it to Sam.

We made our way over to the couch, I sat on the end next to the arm, Colby sat next to me, and Sam sat between Colby and Corey. As the movie started Colby positioned his body so that he was holding me, my legs hung over his lap.

The cabin was freezing, and it gave off an eerie vibe as it poured rain outside. I shivered despite the sweatshirt I was wearing. "You cold?" Colby said quietly into my ear. "A little..I'm gonna go see if there are some blankets upstairs." I said and stood up, Sam was asleep but Corey lazily glanced up at me, his eyes drooping slightly. As I made my way upstairs I couldn't help but feel nervous, this place was truly creepy. I shook my head and made my way slowly through the rooms, scanning them for any blankets.

I came across the master bedroom, and in the corner there was a basket full of blankets. I smiled, walking to them. I pulled the top one off and bundled it in my arms as I heard something clank along the floor. Something metal.

I scanned the ground to see what fell, that's when my heart stopped completely.

On the floor was a shield shaped pendant, covered in dirt.I picked it up, and turned it over. It was the exact one that I had found in the woods. I dropped it and stepped back, shaking. I turned to leave the room, when I saw out of the corner of my eye, in the bathroom, a black figured in the shape of a man.

My heart stopped as I let out a horrified scream.
