⚠️⚠️TRIGGER WARNING// THIS CHAPTER WILL BE CONTAINING A BIT OF SEXUAL ASSAULT. READER DISCRETION ADVISED.⚠️⚠️

Jason led me through the crowd over to the bar area. He poured me a drink in a red solo cup and handed it to me. I could tell he already had a few drinks himself. He poured himself one and nodded his head to the garage door that was connected to the kitchen. I began to head that way, he followed closely behind me. There were only a few people in the garage, and some people out front. I already felt more calm, it's almost as if he could tell the mass amount of people in the house was giving me anxiety.

"So tell me about yourself." He said with his words slightly slurring. "Um well.." I began but was quickly cut off by his lips slamming into mine. I pushed him away, "What are you doing?!" I said with an annoyed tone. "Come on baby I know why you wore that dress" he said and groped me as he leaned in again this time with more aggression. "Stop!" I grunted as I tried to fight him off of me. He slid my dress up and started to fiddle with the band of my panties. "No!" I said and mustered all the strength I had to push him away. I bolted up and started to run away tears forming in my eyes. I heard his heavy stomps behind me. "Don't be such a prude!" He yelled and reached for me, he grabbed my hair and pulled me back a little bit. He was so drunk that I was able to break myself free once again. I ran to the front of the house and ran into someone because I was so frantic. "Hey-woah are you okay?!" Colby said as a concerned look washed over his face. His eyes shifted focus to Jason who was drunkenly leaning towards me again. In one swift motion Colby pushed me behind him with one arm. He stood strongly between Jason and I. His face changed to an aggressive one. "Is there a problem here?" He said as his fists balled up. "Man she's being a prude!" Jason said and took a step towards me. "You need to leave." Colby growled and pushed him back slightly. He pulled his phone out and opened the Uber app and handed it to me, "can you call him an Uber" he said not breaking eye contact with Jason. My hands shook so violently it was almost impossible to type. "He will be here in 5 minutes." I said quietly. "Good. Now if you're not off the premises in 5 minutes I'm calling the cops." He said still holding his stance in front of me.

Jason hobbled off and into the Uber without a fight. As soon as he got in Colby loosened his stanse and turned directly to me. "Are you okay?" He said softly. Tears were forming in my eyes but I never let one fall onto my cheek. I kept pulling my skirt down involuntarily. He gently put his hands on my shoulders, "Hey I got you." He said softly and grabbed my hand leading me inside. He walked me up the stairs and down the hall into a bedroom, I'm assuming it's his. As he closed the door a shiver ran down my spine. Was he going to try the same thing? Should I run while I have the chance? I thought to myself. He turned his back to me as I sat on the couch that was in the room. He handed me a hoodie and pair of sweatpants. "Here, change. I won't look." He said calmly and faced the wall. I hadn't noticed but I was clutching my chest with one hand and pulling my skirt down with the other, hiding as much of my body as I could. "Thanks" I said quietly and changed. "Can you tell me what happened?" He said as soon as I was dressed. He sat next to me on the couch. "He was trying to take my pants off." I said dryly. I was scared on the inside but I was trying my hardest to not let it show.

Nobody will care that you're scared. Suck it up.

He gently put his hand on mine. "I'm sorry that happened. Is there anything I can do to help?" He was being so kind, I felt like I could burst into tears in front of him but I held it in. He wouldn't care if I cried. He would think I'm weak. "No, thank you for helping me though." I said standing up. I gave him a soft smile and tried to leave the room. "Don't leave." He said causing me to raise my eyebrows. "And why not?" I said crossing my arms. "You're shaking like a leaf. Just chill here for a bit." He said trying to get comfortable on the couch. "Aren't people going to miss you down there?" I said and sat next to him once again. "Nah, I usually hide in my room after a couple hours. I like to be alone." Maybe we had more in common than I thought.
