My phone instantly starts ringing as soon as I click send. I sigh and pick up.

"What, Gabe?" I sigh.

"Jess please. I don't have a choice!"

"You do! And you chose her."

"No she's blackmailing me Jess."

"Really? And how's that then?" I scoff.

I hear him take a shaky breath before speaking.

"She knows. About the baby."

"Yeah, so do a lot of people." I question

"But she also knows all of our history, that we were faking it, and about you trying to kill yourself."

"What? How?" I panic.

"Look, lets meet. I'll come pick you up in ten."

And with that he hung up. How can she know? The only people who know are who I've told, and I know for a fact I wouldn't tell her snakey ass.

I'm snapped out of my thoughts by the doorbell ringing. I grab my phone and some cash, before running downstairs and letting Gabe in.

"Come on, we're going for dinner." He smiles.

"Gabe, I want to talk."

"Yes. Over dinner."

He starts walking back down the path towards his car. I grab his arm and spin him back round.

"Gabe, please. At least tell me what's going on."

"I will, J. Just please come."

I nod and lock the door, following him to the car. I climb in and he pulls away, driving down the street.

"So? Please explain!"

"Molly knows about everything. She told me if I didn't date her she'd expose you. And well, I thought this would be the best way to keep you safe." He explains.

"But-but how does she know? Did you tell her?"

"No! Of course not. I think she just overheard something. I don't know."

"Fuck." I whisper.

"It's ok! I'll just do this. She can't expose you if I'm dating her."

"You shouldn't be doing that for me. Honestly if you want to leave her, do."

Gabe's hand grips my thigh gently as we pull into the car park.

"Jessica, you mean more to me than she ever will."

"Then leave her."

"What? Jess, she will tell everyone!"

"Let her. I couldn't give two fucks about her."
