Hoshi's POV:

I smiled softly as I pulled the warm blanket closer, snuggling as the fresh scent of laundry detergent filled my nose. Wait a minute, blankets, laundry detergent? My green eyes snapped open as I took a sharp inhale, sitting straight up and hitting someone's head in the process.

"Ow...."

I looked at the source of the noise and Kou stood there with a red mark on his forehead.

"Kou?"

"The least you could say is sorry, Hoshi!"

I touched his cheek and the cold shocked me but I knew my eyes weren't deceiving me. I blinked about three times before I started crying like the baby I am.

"Kou-kun, you're alive!" I wailed, holding him in my embrace.

"Woah, Hoshi! Calm down."

I was instantly reminded of the shot that I had taken and I pushed Kou away, pulling my shirt up. There was no sign of it, not even a small scar. The door to my left opened and in walked three other boys.

"Bear! Azusa! You guys are alive!"

Bear held his ear, cringing at my shouts.

"Calm down, Hoshi. And my name is Yuma now, not Bear."

I looked at him a bit confused.

"I'm not gonna stop calling you Bear," I said stubbornly.

He facepalmed and Azusa chuckled. He came over to my side, grabbing my hand.

"I'm glad you made it out, Azusa-kun!"

"Me...too..."

Ruki sat next to me, giving me a small smile and I saw fangs peek out from his tiny mouth. I touched them in awe, accidentally pricking my fingers on them but the wound healed easily.

"You have them too."

I touched my teeth and noticed I have the same sharp incisors as he had.

"We all do."

Everyone gave me a toothy grin and their fangs gleamed under the light, a bit intimidating.

"What's going on?" I asked with wonder.

"I will answer that."

The male with the long white hair and golden eyes walked in, an aura of power surrounding him. The boys got on one of their knees, bowing to the male. I looked around, still a bit disoriented.

"Who are you?"

"I am Karlheinz, your savior. You have become vampires thanks to Ruki here, who saved your life. You are to obey every command that I give you."

"What? But then this life doesn't change from the one in the orphanage!"

Karlheinz's eyes gave off a cold look but his grin grew. He walked up to me, gripping my chin in his gloved hand and gave me a calculating stare.

"The grim reaper would have taken your soul if it wasn't for me. I am here offering you eternal life, along with the riches that come from being connected with me. This mansion is yours to keep and you get to live with your 'brothers' in it. Shouldn't you be grateful?"

I was about to retort but out of the corner of my eye, I could see Ruki giving me a warning look. I bit my lip before forcing the words out of my mouth.

"Yes, I am grateful."

Karl's eyes held approval as he turned my head side to side.

"Hmm, you are beautiful. I've always wanted a daughter. I'm sure you will be put to good use later."

I bit my tongue, my fangs cutting it easily. Karl took a sniff of the air, his golden eyes glowing as he shoved a finger into my mouth. I made a noise of surprise and he pulled the finger out, blood lightly coating it. He licked it and I scrunched my nose in disgust.

"Hmm, that's weird. Your blood is still warm," he mumbled, deep in thought.

I pushed him away and growled, feeling a bit dirtied by his actions. He chuckled and waved it off.

"You will definitely be put to good use. I will take my leave here and we probably won't be seeing each other for a while. Do enjoy yourselves."

He was gone in an instant and my eyes widened, looking around for his figure, but the only trace of him left was his disgusting scent. Suddenly, I felt a light smack on the back of my head.

"Hoshi, what did I tell you about speaking out?!" Ruki hissed.

"You meanie, Ruki! Baka, baka, baka!"

I pounded his chest and Yuma held me back, wiping the tears that unconsciously fell down my face.

"Hoshi, you know he's only trying to protect you."

"I know but he didn't have to hit me!" I pouted.

"Aww, my little star is so cute!" Kou said, taking me away from Yuma and rubbing his cheek against mine. "I'm going to go give her a bath."

He carried me to the door ahead of me, revealing a big bathroom. I gawked at the sight, golden furniture everywhere.

"Whose stuff is this?!"

"This is all yours, my little star. You're going to live happily now."

He started running the water and helped me take off my clothes, putting me in the bubbly water. The warm water made me close my eyes in bliss, having not felt hot water in years. Kou washed my hair and I giggled at the ticklish feeling as his hands worked my scalp. He let me wash my own body. We finally finished and he helped me dry my body and my hair. I touched my hair and reveled at how soft my locks have become, a soft glow on my cheeks. I looked like a whole new person, the dirt off my face and my already pale body paler than before.

"We're done, my little star! Let's go get some food before you go to sleep. You have a lot of information to take in."

I nodded and he grabbed my hand and we instantly appeared in the kitchen.

"Woah! That was so cool, Kou! Can I do that too?"

"Well, we did have a few more days than you to practice so I'm sure you'll get it. I'll make you a sandwich."

He got to work, quickly placing a PB&J in front of me, my mouth watering at the smell. I wolfed it down in less than a minute, my face decorated with crumbs and the peanut butter and jelly. Kou chuckled, grabbing a towel and wiping my face. I gave him a grin and he pats my head lovingly before carrying me back to my bed, putting me under the sheets.

"I love you, Kou." I yawned.

His face was surprised for a second before it turned soft, grabbing my hand and rubbing it softly.

"I love you too, my little star. We all do. We'll never let anyone take your place."

I gave him a sleepy smile and closed my eyes, counting sheep before I entered dreamland.
