34-Bad Luck

Hoshi's POV:

I took a deep breath, playing and twisting the ring Shu gave me yesterday. He sat in the limo next to me, snoozing away as usual. We were headed to the Mukami mansion to break the news about my pregnancy and...my engagement. I haven't been able to visit them during the past four months because Shu insisted I stayed inside, which meant no school. I sighed heavily, looking at Shu for a reaction but he didn't budge. I sighed louder but there was still no reaction. I crossed my arms and looked away, a pout on my face.

"What?" he mumbled.

"Comfort me! I'm scared to tell them."

"Well, even if you didn't tell them, you're already showing so they'll figure it out," he said proudly.

It was true. I was wearing one of Shu's extremely oversized sweaters but my stomach was pushing against it lightly.

"That's not the fucking point, Shu. I don't know whether they'll be happy or not."

"I think you're overthinking it. They're your brothers, aren't they?"

"I know...but they didn't approve of us at first, remember? What are they gonna do now that we're engaged and have a baby coming?"

He sighed, grabbing my hand and kissing it.

"You need to just trust me. If your brothers say anything bad, then I'll beat them up myself."

I nodded, pecking his lips before the Mukami mansion came into view. My leg started jittering but Shu just stopped it by grabbing my thigh and rubbing it softly. The limo stopped and we came out, heading towards the door. Shu knocked on it and I grabbed his hand, squeezing it tightly. Azusa opened the door, a look of surprise on his face. I felt myself relax, glad that my calmest brother was the one who greeted us first.

"Hi, Azu!"

"Hoshi...what are...you doing....here?"

"Jeez, you make it sound like you're not excited to see me."

"Sorry...I just...was wondering."

"Well, let us inside and I'll tell you."

He nodded and opened the door wider, allowing us to walk in.

"Hello...Sakamaki-san."

"Hello, Azusa."

"Azu, call him Shu. He sounds like the old man he is if you keep calling him by his last name."

Shu glared at me and I shrugged, giving him a toothy grin.

"Will...that be...okay?"

"Whatever."

I smiled, waddling to the couch and taking a seat, Shu next to me.

"Call the others, Azu."

He nodded and disappeared. Kou was the first to appear, a big smile on his face.

"Little Star! You're back!"

"Hi, Kou!"

His eyes trained to my stomach, a questioning look on his face.

"Did you gain weight?"

I felt an irk mark appear on my forehead and I grabbed a pillow next to me, chucking it at Kou's face, easily knocking him out. I had a satisfied smile on my face as Yuma walked in, looking at the scene unimpressed.

"Idiot," he mumbled.

He looked at Shu, nodding his head and Shu did the same back. Ruki soon appeared with Azusa next to him, the same look on his face as Yuma.
