Hoshi's POV:
I sat in the dining room, amused at the little fight going on between Kou and Yuma. This was a daily occurrence, mostly because Kou was a fatass.
"What do you think you're doing, Kou?! Give me that!"
"Hey! That's my fried prawn! Give it back to me."
"Don't act like the last shrimp is naturally yours, you fatass. Don't you know what equal share is?"
"It's first-come, first-serve!"
Kou tried lunging for the food but couldn't reach it due to Yuma's height.
"Too slow!"
"Wahh, Yuma-kun is so mean to me!"
I stuck one of my shrimps onto my fork before placing it on Kou's plate.
"Here. Eat it."
"Wahh, thank you little star!"
He happily munched on the shrimp while Yuma sighed, seating himself once again. He looked at Azusa, waving the food in front of him.
"You want it? You didn't eat much."
"I'll take....it if....you're offering...it."
"That's not what I asked. Just tell me if you want it or not."
"Okay...I want...it."
"Here."
Yuma placed the last piece of the fried prawn on Azusa's plate. I felt someone watching us and turned to see Yui standing timidly next to the door. I simply ignored her, picking at the salad on my plate.
"What do I keep telling you guys? No ruckus at the dinner table."
Ruki placed a new plate of the shrimp on the table and Kou made a cheering noise.
"Oh, there's more! You should've said so, Ruki-kun."
"Hoshi, I expected you as third oldest to at least try and stop them."
"Why should I? It's funny to watch since Kou can't stop inhaling the food."
"Wha- Little star! Don't be mean to me," he whined.
He took a piece of the shrimp off the plate and munched it happily.
"Oi, don't take before the rest of us! Azusa, hurry and take before your portion is gone too!" Yuma panicked.
I grabbed a few pieces with my fork and placed it on Azusa's plate, giving him a little pat on the head. He said a soft 'thank you' before resuming his eating.
"You eat too," Ruki said, directing those words at the blonde on the side.
"O-okay."
She noticed the seat in between Kou and I was open and I teasingly pat the seat, giving her a grin. She gulped audibly but still took the seat where I touched, a plate set in front of her. I pouted at the boring response and closed my eyes tiredly, only hearing bits of their conversations. She commented about how good the food was and how close we all are. I felt her eyes on me but I ignored them, snoozing my eternal life away. Ruki shook my shoulder lightly and I opened my eyes, glaring at the hand.
"Hurry up, we need to go to school."
I sighed, standing up and stretching.
"I don't get why I have to school. There's no actual point in it."
"Hoshi."
"Yeah, yeah, I got it."
"Oh, me too," Yui said, standing up but I stood in front of her, clicking my tongue.
"Now, now, Pierro. Why would we let you come to school when those annoying purebloods are there? It's like all our hard work will be put to waste!" I said in a light tone.
"B-but..."
"Azusa will be watching you today, M-Neko chan~"
She turned to see Azusa with a creepy smile on his face.
"Just me...and Eve...I'm so happy."
I cringed at his tone, already able to see what was gonna happen. He most likely will be showing her his little knife collection. A few minutes later, we all stood in the foyer, the brothers explaining how Azusa can be a bit of a handful. I chewed on my gum and picked at my nails, soft sounds of the violin coming flowing into my ears from my earbuds. I headed out to the limo first, taking a seat next to the window. Kou took the seat next to me, Yuma and Ruki across from us. Their eyes were on me and I looked around questioningly.
"What? Do you guys fucking need something?"
"Hoshi, language. And we just wanted to ask you about something yesterday."
"Shoot."
"Why was their smell on you?"
"Who the fuck are you talking about? I need to be more specific Ruki."
"The purebloods." Kou hissed in my ear.
I flinched, eyes widening. I thought I had taken a good enough shower to wash off the smell but apparently, that wasn't enough.
"I don't know what you're talking about-"
"Don't play dumb with us, Hoshi!" Yuma said a scowl etched on his face.
"Y'all are annoying. I just happened to bump into one of them."
"If you just 'bumped' into one of them, why was the smell of your blood mixed in?"
"I cut myself on paper." I smoothly lied.
Kou shifted from beside me, grabbing my chin and making me look into his eyes, his right one glowing a bright red. I clicked my tongue in annoyance as I pushed him away, a scowl on my face.
"You're lying."
"No, I'm not," I said stubbornly.
Before anyone could protest, the limo had already stopped in front of the school, Kou's fangirls waiting outside. I flinched at the loud noises, already upset at how bad the day had started.
"We will discuss this later," Ruki said, his face set in determination.
I rolled my eyes, teleporting to my classroom and taking the seat in the far back next to the window. Sighing heavily, I clutched my slightly aching heart. I hated lying to my brothers more than anything but desperate times called for desperate measures. The bell rang and the bodies piled in, all of them avoiding me because of my slightly aggressive attitude. The teacher walked in, taking attendance.
"Sakamaki-san? Sakamaki Shu? Hmm, it seems like he's not here today either."
Ever since the beginning of the semester, I have not seen this mysterious 'Sakamaki Shu' once because he seemed to ditch this class every day. The teacher began writing something about music theory and I stared out the window, extremely bored. The violin in my ear made my eyes feel heavy and I soon succumbed to sleep, not noticing the new figure walking into the room.
