Your father was never fond of anyone dating his princesses because no one would ever be worthy in his eyes. When Vero started dating Archie it sent him in one hell of a fit of rage now imagine if your father found out you were dating a serpent, much less Sweetpea. You were scared of what would happen but your mom urged you to finally invite Sweetpea over for dinner tonight.

The doorbell went and you sprinted downstairs, bolting out the door before anyone else could. There stood Sweetpea in all his shining glory, he wore a simple tux with a bow tie. In his hand were 3 roses. His hair was slicked back, you almost didn't recognise your boyfriend

"You look amazing" Sweetpea said breaking your trance
"You look almost like my father's golden boy" you smirked fixing his pocket square

Before any more conversation could comense, the door swung open to reveal your mother standing, she was beaming with happiness

"Princesa, inside, dinner's ready" she smiled guiding you both in

You walked in, arms linked with Sweetpea's one. Before you would even say anything your fathers eyes went wide at the sight before him. He slammed his hands on the table, shaking the cutlery and crockery out of place as well as the food. You flinched but Sweetpea laid a hand of reassurance on your back

"What the hell is this serpent doing in my house, let alone at my table!" He boomed
"Hiram-
"No- what is this thing doing with my daughter!" He yelled, no one answered
"Daddy, this is Sweetpea, Hes my boyfriend" you said in a small voice
"Why princesa, why him you could have any boy and you chose him!?" You dad asked
"Because I love him daddy!" You screamed

You felt Sweetpea tense next to you, you hadn't said that to him in the 8 months you two had been together

"I don't care!" Your dad heaved "find another boyfriend or leave my house"
"Daddy!" Vero shrieked
"No, she needs to learn the rules of this house!"
"Fine" you said turning toward Sweetpea. You whispered that he meet you outside and he nodded, leaving
"Good choice" you dad smirked before going to sit down

You simply turned on your heel and went upstairs to your bedroom, ignoring your father's cries. You went to your closet and pulled out your suitcase, setting it on your bed and began to pack your clothes out into it.

"You're not really taking dad seriously?" A voice said from the door
"I am, I've learnt that daddy doesn't make empty promises so I'm leaving" you said not bothering to look at Veronica
"Y/N-
"No Vero, I don't care for what daddy told you to say to me, I love Sweetpea, with all my heart I plan on marrying that boy one day Vero. He makes me weak at the knees, makes my heart pump twice the speed, makes my IQ drop! I don't think I can live without him now" you said tears falling from your cheeks

There was a silence that had settled between you, you'd never been so close with Veronica because of your overtly opposite personalities, but you'd opened up to her for the first time and she had no idea how to react

"Daddy didn't send me by the way" Veronica whispered "you go out the window, and I'll make sure to distract daddy for a few hours because if he finds out you're missing he's going to send a search party"
"No, I wanna walk out the front door" you said zipping your case up and grabbing a coat "but thanks V"

You rolled your case over to the dining room where your mom and dad had resumed conversation which stopped at the sight of you and your bags ready to go

"I'll be staying over at sweetpea's for the next, i don't know days or years but don't come for me or send someone to mess Pea up because I will come for you father, and you won't see it coming" you threatened "love you mommy dearest, V, I'll see you at school"

With that you turned and left the Pembrooke, and walked toward Sweetpea who had leant a car off one of the serpents. You both loaded your luggage and headed off to his trailer

"I love you too"Sweetpea said out of the blue
"What?" You asked semi confused
"When you spoke to your dad... you said you loved me.. well I love you too" Sweetpea smiled
"And I don't regret it" you smiled back
