I strutted down the hallway with my posse scrambling after me. Prom was coming up, and I knew just who to ask. Jason Grace, resident hottie of Riverview High. There was no way that he could resist my golden curls and baby blue eyes this time. Yes, I said this time. I had asked him out a few months ago, but he had refused me. He said something about having a girlfriend, but he probably broke up with her by now. I mean, who wouldn't when I'm an option?
I looked for Jason everywhere, but I couldn't find him. Where was he? I turned a corner, and walked right into Jason himself. He was talking animatedly to a girl with choppy, chocolate brown hair and color changing eyes. I was sure that I had never seen her before, but something about her made me want her in my posse.
"Heey, handsome," I said to Jason, making sure to draw out the 'e' " I need to ask you something."
The girl glared at me, but Jason just seemed uncomfortable.
"Uh, hi, Daphne," He said, nervously. I just laughed. He was cute when he was nervous.
"What do you want?" The girl hissed. How rude! I thought. I ignored her and continued talking to Jason.
"I was wondering if you would go to prom with me. Yes? Great! Pick me up at 7!" I said, turning around, making sure to flip my blonde curls behind me.
"Actually," I heard Jason say, behind me, "I'm already going with my girlfriend, Piper."
I whirled around, an angry expression on my face. "I thought you broke up with her!"
Jason looked taken aback. "Wha-no! I never said that!"
I pouted." Well, whoever she is, you could probably do so much better. Like me."
Jason's expression turned to one of disbelief. "You're never going to get it in your head are you?" He shook his head, " I said I have a girlfriend."
"Who happens to be right here." The girl next to him spoke.
"Who are you, anyways?" I asked angrily.
"Piper." The girl replied, "Piper McLean."
She grabbed Jason's hand, and they both pushed past me. What just happened? I-I think I just got rejected for Tristan McLean's daughter. I sighed in disgust. There was no way that I was going to prom alone. I guess I'll just have to settle for Mark Bryan, captain of the football team.
A/N : This is so cliche, I can't even anymore. But, I figured it was time to add in some cliche. *shrugs* Bye, for now!
