Todoroki Shouto x Sky
Happy Birthday, Jay!
(½)
The guildhall was quieter than usual. Be it that it was the winter months and everyone was more prone to being lazily silent or that those who usually caused most of the cautious had been out and about on quests of their own, it surely felt like a different guild today.
The only real noise seemed to be coming from the kitchen where a few of the more culinary gifted members were preparing a stew for dinner that night. The smells of baking bread and cooking veggies was enough to make even the strongest minds bend to the idea of begging for an early taste.
But then again, not everyone was wanting to spend the time lazing about. Some in fact were looking for something to do and needed to consult the board of jobs that were posted by the main entrance of the guildhall.
Baby blue eyes looked at the board with an unsure mind as to what she thought she should be doing. On one hand, she didn't need to go out in the middle of winter looking for work. But on the other hand... having extra pocket money for whatever might arise in the future was also a good idea. Plus... she'd be lying if she said she wasn't itching for a small adventure of her own right about now.
Her eyes settled on a small notice near the bottom right-hand corner. Sky gently plucked it from its position and began to carry it towards where she could start the process of accepting such a mission.
The white-haired female paused and took a seat at the mission table. Filling out the acceptance forms and then sending it off to whoever had sent out the request. The magic mail system making her note of acceptance arrive quickly. And thus she needed to gather her things and then start to head towards this small village.
"Taking on a job?" A figure spoke from the next table over.
Sky nodded towards the female. "Yes. Its nothing too complicated. Just a village asking for help to clear the snow out of town. They are located in the mountains and thus are dealing with a large amount of snowfall. Most of their roads have been blocked as a result."
"Sounds like a good job for someone with wind magic." Mina smiled, then glanced over to another person who's magic might be helpful. "You know... Todoroki-kun might be helpful as well. He's a dual user... one being fire, and the other being ice. So he'd be able to withstand the cold, and help a great deal in melting the rest of the snow."
Sky pondered the thought for a moment. The mission did ask for a team of adventurers... and it was indeed a lot of work for one person. Plus... it wasn't like she didn't get along with the prince. Plus, if she would get stuck on a mission with anyone... it might as well be someone who would be silent and not bothersome.
She was lucky the other resident hothead was out on a mission of his own with the half-dragon, half-elf, and the idiot who called himself a mercenary when he didn't kill people. So... there really wasn't any other choice. Todoroki would be helpful and he looked just about as bored as she was about the turn of events as of late.
Thanking Mina for her input and then moving towards where the prince was, Sky grabbed his attention by slipping the mission request over to him. Todoroki took it into his hands, glanced it over and then rose from his spot.
"I'll be ready in an hour." He spoke, seeming to understand her request of him and accepted it without so much of an explanation on her part.
Seeing as she had an hour to get ready herself, the girl went about her quick gathering of her own materials and then waited patiently outside the guildhall. Her winter attire made up of several warm and cozy layers. Had it not been for the cold nipping at her nose, she would have fallen asleep right then and there.
