“You did what?” Ayden snarled.
“She was dead, she still had your blood and Darius’s in her system so I fed her the venom,” Talbot defended his decision.
“But why? We don’t even know if it will take still with all the blood she lost,” Darius’s voice sounded so…lost.
“I have my reasons,”
“Are you in love with her too?” Darius asked but couldn’t hold any jealousy in his tone at the moment he was full of grief and fear. Ayden was furious.
“No,”
“Then why?” screamed Ayden his vampire flaring. Talbot stood still defiantly not answering.
Ayden snarled viciously losing his control and slammed Talbot with all his strength and speed against the wall of the living room cracking the whole thing from floor to ceiling breaking the fire place in half.
Darius sat there holding her hand watching her eerily still and lifeless broken and bloodied body on the couch consumed by his pain.
“Why,” Ayden demanded with a snarl again. Talbot took a deep breath but didn’t attempt to fight him off.
“Because she is my kin, as Beth is yours and now that newborn Dhampir,”
