Isn’t it every girls dream to be fussed over and looked after with care, when she is under the weather by three men who care for her deeply? Well that is what it felt like as I was getting home from the hospital.
I was released the next day from the hospital, they kept me overnight for observation and Ayden didn’t leave my side once, neither did Darius. My father on the other hand had work to do but promised he would be back when I was able to go home.
All three of them insisted on taking me home. I was really loopy and woozy from the pain medication that the doctors gave to me in the hospital it hadn’t quite hit yet but I was feeling it. They all were twittering about over me since my rib was cracked and sore as they all vied to carry me up the steps to the door.
“I can walk myself,” I said giggling, they were like birds fighting over a bird seeder to get the next morsel. Ayden and my father had each one of my hands in theirs and Darius behind me his hand on the small of my back. All trying to lift me up the porch steps, it was actually becoming annoying.
“Let go, I can do it myself,” I snapped at all of them. Still giggling since I felt like jello I took the few steps up to the door and of course on the last step I tripped and they all reached out for me. Jeez, it wasn’t like I had surgery. I shook them off and my dad opened the door for me.
“I have to pee,” I announced with a silly smile. Darius with his bright grey eyes was finding my intoxicated state hilarious and he grinned when I spoke that.
“That means going up more steps,” he retorted in his sarcastic tone. I grimaced and pouted at that.
“I’ll take her up,” Ayden spoke softly with his smooth and husky voice, so sexy. Whoa the meds must really be starting to work their magic now. Once we were out of my father’s eye site, Ayden just picked me up and went up the stairs at his vampire speed.
“W-whoa haha that was fun,” I said chuckling.
“Go to the bathroom love,” he was smiling; he must be finding my state of mind pretty comical as well. I wobbled into the bathroom and shut the door. It took me a few minutes longer than usual to do my business since I was slow going with bending because of the cracked rib.
When I passed by the mirror I cringed, I looked terrible. My long light brown hair was in a messy pony tail and my hazel eyes were glazed over from the medication and dilated. I splashed some cool water on my face which made me feel a little better.
Opening the bathroom door, I was greeted by Ayden’s golden brown eyes and they were full of concern as usual which made me giggle even more. I reached up and ran my hands through his hair, the thick shaggy tresses of brown with red highlights felt silky and I smiled.
“Your hair feels really silky,” it sounded more like mumbling since I was kind of slurring my words.
“Okay Cailyn, think the doctor gave you too much of a dose,” he chuckled picking me up and down the stairs again, I was laughing the whole time.
“Damn is she on one,” I heard my father say as Ayden put me down in the living room. My father and Darius were fixing up the couch for me for the time being since it was early afternoon and I was told to stay on bed rest and no one wanted me cooped up in my room.
“She is entertaining,” Darius exclaimed a bit too suggestively and my dad gave him an odd look. Sometimes Darius forgot that my father thinks he was the one who introduced me to him first when I actually knew him before that.
I shuffled over to the couch and laid down against the make shift bed they made, feeling extremely, well high, and my whole body felt tingly and like I had no bones. The doctors had given me some strong stuff just before I was discharged and a prescription for the pain ‘as needed’. The tiredness was beginning to set in.
