It's a been a rough couple of days

Missing my wife and daughter
Dearly, just as l sit here. Feeling like l failed my family.
I haven't spoken to Lexi yet, she hasn't called yet. She told me it would take time to process all the paperwork. I'm trying to remain calm. But nothing seems to ease my nerves. Looking at the pictures of Francesca when she was a baby, my where has the time gone. And then l see another of me and Lena on our wedding day. We both was so happy that day, after it had became legal, for same-sex couples to get married,
I remember our wedding as if was yesterday, standing there at the beach saying my vows to Lena and she to declaring her love to me. I never regretting my life with Lena, despite our families still haven't reached out to us in years. I can't for this new baby to arrive and then our family will be complete.
As l push my long blonde behind my hair. It took a long time to grow back. In all my thirty-eight years, on this earth. People never going to change.
