Bucolic Rendezvous

The earth sleeps tight tucked in by mother moon,

Clouds grow dark and earth begins to tremble,

I slip through hollows warm with thanks to June

Quickly now in secret disassemble:

Begin to shed the worries, qualms, and fears

Replaced with quiet, still rumination;

Rhythmic beats near, swallow thy in her tears

And cover me in blissful sedation.

Nature wraps me in her disposition

Safe and sound amidst her cousin verdure

But not long, hear whispers of ignition-

Depart comrade, abolish here merger.

  And thou I may be gone by morrow’s light-

  Attest thy ardent safeguard claims next blight.
