Pt 31 Gotta Stay High

Astrids Pov

"Astrid what happened." Leigh-ann asked from the front but I just looked out the window ignoring everyone. When we arrived at the hospital I jumped out and walked over to Graces side and un-buckled her set and pulled her out. She was half asleep so I carried her through the parking lot. When we were in the lobby a nurse took Grace away from me.

"You'll see her soon love."I hugged Leigh-ann who was beside me and walked back outside where mom was waiting for me in the car.

"Whats wrong Astrid."I look down at my knees and shake my head not really wanting to talk to my mom.

We were at the boys house so I jumped out and told my mom to wait for me. When I went inside everyone was around Cameron supporting him so I walked past them and went into Camerons room. I picked my bags up, which was four making me groan but I didn't fuss. I pulled some over my shoulder and went into the lounge.

"Your not coming with us."Taylor asked with sad eyes making me feel guilty.

"I have things to do." Everyone ran up too me and hugged the life out of me, apart from Cameron. I didn't reply I just stood there all awkwardly.

"Please come with us Astrid."I sigh and wait for them to all let go of me.

"I just cant."It was quiet and all you could hear was Camerons soft sobs so I did the un-expected. I walked up to Cameron and kissed his red cheeks.

"Have fun." That was all I said and left. The boys were crying on each other but I just left them to it.

When I walked up too moms car she looked at me with a sad expression.

"Let me guess. You aren't going." I cried into my moms sweet embrace and hugged her tightly.

I sat there in her embrace for two minutes and thanked her after I let her go. We drove home in silence but mom would hum my favorite song which was Princess of China. She would all ways sing it to me when I was upset when I was a little girl. Dad would play the guitar well she sung. I ended up learning it on guitar and lent the vocals.

"We're here."We both hoped up and made our way through the house. I just ran up stairs to my room. It wasn't messy anymore it was clean like I didn't even touch it. 

I pick my guitar and started plucking the chords and let the words leave my mouth, letting my emotions go.
