Fuck. Did that just really happen? Did you really have THAT kind of a dream about Jimin. A guy you barely know, and with whom you agreed to work with? This doesn't seem to become a professional working relationship, at least not from your side. This can't be happening. You have to keep it professional. You can not let that happen again.
...
Eleven Days. Or as you would call it: infinity. You grab two bottles of vodka and go upstairs. The cleaning ladies are nearly done and you start preparing the bar for tonight. Why hasn't he called? Did he have the same kind of dream about you? And now he's as scared as you are about working together? You chuckle at your own thought. As if he would dream about you. Maybe he even forgot your name after eleven days. That could happen. Maybe he accidently deleted your number which was saved in his contacts, with a really ugly photo of you, that he took without a warning. No. That can't be it.
So why hasn't he called? He could at least text you saying he's busy or something. He told you he'd call. Maybe you should call him? No, eleven days is not that long if you think about it. Is it pathetic to contact him after nearly two weeks? You take out your phone and start texting:
'Hey Jimin, just wanted to know how things are?'
You erase the text immediately and put your phone away. Maybe he doesn't want to work with you anymore. That wouldn't be the baddest thing. At least you wouldn't have to look into his dark, seducing eyes anymore and have a hard time concentrating.
After Jimin left, you felt like you walked on clouds. Everything was fine for once in your life. The thought of him made everything easier. Going to work kess easy, getting up in the morning was easy. Because every day could be the day he calls you. That's what made everything so easy.
But the longer he didn't text, the less you could feel the clouds. And today you were back to normal, to hating everything about your life.
Tae comes up to you:"Aaah here we have the normal Y/N again. I was wondering what was wrong with you last week. You seemed so.. happy. Not like you at all." "Haha." You counter in an ironical voice. You grab some limes and cut them into wedges. Tae comes closer as if he wants to apologize. His face is only centimetres away from yours:"Don't tell me you're in love."
He teases you, but you're quicker than him. Before he can react you grab a lime wedge and squeeze the juice into his eyes. He screams while rubbing them:"How dare you? I was just joking." He whines. "But you said so yourself, I'm never happy, so joking is not for me."You turn around satisfied with your answer. Pff, in love. What does he know? You were in love once, so you would definitely recognize the feeling again. The feeling of easiness, the feeling that everything just feels right and without that person something is missing. The feeling of truly knowing the person, inside and out and the feeling of being betrayed by that one person who you thought you knew for so long. And then the feeling of crying for weeks.
You don't wanna go there again. One bad relationship in lifetime was enough. You built up a shield. It will always protect you against those kinds of feelings. That's why you never flirt with any of the guys at the bar, or Taehyung. You simple don't want to get hurt. Your heart wouldn't take it. It's best the way it is now. You'll never gonna fall in love again. You'll never be hurt again. That's the life you chose.
You go towards the cellar stairs to grab more alcohol. Hating every single bit of it.
