You never realised how incredibly beautiful your city is until this moment. You walk along the river, where people are bathing in the golden sunlight. The orange and red leaves on the ground make some kind of carpet for you to walk on. You love the crinkly sound they make when you step on them. Namjoon seems truly happy out here. Jimin's walk is bouncier today. He's really curious about where you take them. He constantly asks about it. But you keep your mouth shut. It's better if it's a surprise. Like a little child he is pouting his mouth, because you don't tell him. He looks like the cutest baby ever. With crossed arms he walks next to you.
After twenty minutes you arrive at the destination. "Now we just have to be careful. No one can see us." You say, while walking thru a gate. Jimin and Namjoon follow you anxiously. Now Namjoon is the one who can't wait: "Where are you taking us?" "Two more minutes and you'll see." You take the staircase to the very top and enter a small courtyard. Then you approach a long ladder, that leans agajnst a wall. You climb up.
The Boys make nervous sounds behind you. But you think to yourself 'The guys are old enough. There should be no problem with climbing up 4 metres.' You are the first one to arrive. You step onto the roof and smile at the sight. The sun is starting to set and from up here you can see the whole city. Birds are flying around you and a slight breeze brushes your cheeks. How long has it been, since you came here? Two years? Maybe.
Namjoon is the next one to arrive: "Wow" is the only thing he is able to say. His eyes grow wider and he rushes to the other side of the small roof: "You can see everything from up here. Jimin! Hurry!" In that second Jimin arrives next to you. He's panting from climbing. After he catches his breath he looks around: "He's right. It's really beautiful here. How do you know this place?" He asks.
"My.." you start, but then break up. "A friend of mine showed it to me. It means a lot to me. We always came here once a week. No matter the weather. Even if it rained like hell, we would sit here and watch the city, the people running through the rain."
Suddenly Jimin takes your hand. Out of nowhere. You feel how you tremble a bit. He grabs your hand even harder, which somehow calms you down. "Let's sit down." He says, and that's what you do. Looking at the sunset, talking about the people on the street. Namjoon sits next to Jimin, who still holds on to your hand. It couldn't be more romantic. Your heart beats fast and somehow you have the urge to put your head on Jimin's shoulder. It's right next to you and looks welcoming like a freshly made bed. But you don't have the courage to actually follow thru.
After some time you stop talking. The three of you watch the sunset quietly, peacefully. The sky is turning from pink to purple and the clouds look like cotton candy, when Namjoon suddenly says: "Wouldn't it be great if we could listen to one of our songs now?" Jimin and you nod at the same time. "Guys, we should record our songs. At least the ones we have so far." Jimin looks at you:" How did you record your versions?" "I just took my phone. But the quality was bad. I didn't bother, it was enough since nobody was supposed to hear it." You shrug.
Namjoon shakes his head: "That's not good enough. If we want to be taken seriously by anyone, we need a studio." "And where do we get the money for that?" You ask, thinking about your very poor looking bank account. "I'll figure something out." Namjoon stands up, looking down at the two of you. "Oh look, the moon's coming out." The sky is dark blue by now. The moon shines through the clouds.
"Alright my moonchildren," Namjoon smiles at you. "I'm gonna head home and find us a studio. Have a nice night." He winks at you. What is that supposed to mean? Did he see the two of you holding hands? Does he know how you feel about Jimin? Namjoon leaves without saying another word. And now you are alone with Jimin.
