"Y/N." Jimin starts, but then hesitates. "Your voice is really beautiful. I already told you so. But... You said I should pay more attention to your lyrics.... and I did. And if I'm honest. They were.. not as good as your voice." He's choosing his words carefully. "You're not being honest" you say immediately. You know your lyrics suck. "Alright, alright. They were really bad, to be honest they were awful. Who writes like that?!" Ouch. That was a bit harsh. "What Jimin is trying to say.." Namjoon saves the situation by swooping in "You had nothing to say. There was no real message in your text."
Oh, so he did hear the songs, you think. Namjoon continues: "You just wrote about the birds outside, but what I think" Jimin clears his throat loudly. "What WE think is, music has to have a message. We want people to identify with us on a deeper level. Everybody likes the birds outside. If we always only state the obvious, our music will make no difference." And in this moment you understand why Namjoon is here. You hang on his every word. The way he seems to choose every word he says carefully, amazes you. "Do you study writing or something like that?" You ask out of the blue. Namjoon is surprised by the question. "He's amazing, isn't he?" Jimin agrees with you. You just nod, still looking at Namjoons beautiful face, where the dimples are appearing once again. "I study literature." Namjoon smiles even wider. His dimples get even more distinctive. You have to pull yourself together to not ask him, if you could touch them.
"So Namjoon is gonna help us write good lyrics. I, myself am a master of song writing, obviously" Jimin says in a playful arrogant voice. "But sometimes it's better to have someone else do the dirty work for you. Besides, I already made all the music." You laugh. Jimin smiles at that. "No, but for real. There is no one better in writing than Namjoon. So I asked him. This is why it took so long. Namjoon is incredibly busy with college and his leadership of the forest club." "The forest club?" you burst out laughing. "You're leading a forest club?" You ask him still laughing, not because it's embarrassing or something like that, but because it fits so well. He reminds you of a forest so much, of the relaxing atmosphere between trees, and he actually leads a forest club. "We plant trees, plan new forests and help improve the environment around here." You can hear the pride in his voice. "If you'd like to join, we're always open for new members." "I'm not going to college Namjoon."
You thought he might judge you for that. His friends are probably all intellectuals, as himself. Those people tend to look down on people like you, working in a bar. Namjoon doesn't know what you are doing, but he doesn't judge you either. He just smiles: "Doesn't matter. Everybody can join the club." "Maybe one day, I will Namjoon." He looks satisfied with your answer. "Stop flirting!" Jimin says playfully. You blush immediately. You would never flirt with Namjoon, especially not when Jimin is around. You don't want him to think that you like Namjoon that way. "Let's start working!" he goes on. Maybe it was just a joke he made. But anyways, why do you care so much what he thinks? What did this guy do to you? Dreaming of him, walking on clouds because of him and listening to his music all the time. What is this new behavior of yours? You don't know, but it's definitely not because you love him, or shit like that.
