Chapter 21 - Noah
Mira smirked. “This is gonna be the worst day of your miserable lives! Your Final Exam results are in.”
The class groaned. It had been almost a month since Ice Storm and Shadow and everything with Alec. The school was almost completely repaired.
About half the Beta dorm was killed off thanks to Eldingar. If there's one good thing about rich and racist kids, it's their rich and racist parents going after the school. Normally, they'd blame it all on Aenar but he had an alibi since he was in Isla Estrella helping the Asian Cultural Studies teacher and the Cryptozoology teacher Dr. Simons getting married.
This didn't protect Carly Jane however. From what I remembered, she left to the Eurasian Colonies at the now integrated Thunderdrum Academy, as head of the Women's Self Defense Course.
Aenar finally got the promotion he deserved for teaching the heroes and became the new headmaster starting next year. Both Nymph and Mira got promoted as well. Mira was now taking over for Aenar in his Defense Against Dark Curses class as well as his right hand man. Nymph was still the Magical Objects teacher but got upgraded to Potions as Dr. Simons took over for Charms.
Because of Beta losing more than half of its students, the Delta dorm was added with us.
Iain was nervous about his score, we all were. I bit my lip as Mira slammed the Alpha packet on my desk and handed it to Zoey and Trey for dorms.
The whole group swarmed around me like little kids high on sugar. Particularly the Twins.
“What did we get?” Ash and Ashlee asked.
“Open the damn packet Noah, the twins are getting restless.” Bianca yawned.
I opened the packet.
“Someone tell me what I got, I can't bare to look!” Celina shut her eyes.
I pulled out the results as Iain, using his bear-like strength had snapped his biro pen in half like it was nothing with two fingers, praying to God for a good score, spilling blue ink all over Evans.
“Well… Now I know not to wear my best blue shirt around Iain anymore.” Evans muttered, cursing under his breath.
“Tell us already, the suspense is maddening!” Airlene screamed.
“I haven't even pulled out the results all the way yet.” I explained.
The group muttered an ‘Oh’ as I finally pulled out the results completely from the packet.
“Well?” Zayn questioned.
I smiled. “Though no of us got the top score in the school, most of us got a perfect score!”
Everyone cheered.
“Hold it!” Airlene interrupted. “Who got the top the score then?”
I heard squeals from the Beta dorm. Imogen nearly trampled us to get to Celi.
“OMG, Celi, I got the top score!” Imogen cheered. Airlene had trouble breathing, Iain had to catch the fainting Himalayan teen.
“Zayn?” Iain looked up.
“Yeah, yeah, I know the drill.” Zayn rolled his eyes. Zayn made a large chunk of ice and poured it in Wheeler’s shirt.
Airlene woke up. “Cold, Cold, Cold!”
Almost everyone was happy with their lives. Almost everyone. I was still upset about Jace. Not even passing the final exams was going to cheer me up so I went to Imogen’s dorm which Celina and her converted design studio.
