Going to London?

Magnus's pov

As sunlight beamed through the windows, I stirred around and woke up. I got up from my bed and went to my dining room and made myself some coffee. I had bought my coffee maker from home and it was probably the best decision. I drank my coffee as I stared out of the large window, I could never get used to this view. It was spectacular. I finished my coffee and went to my room to get ready. I decided to wear a red shirt and a black sequined blazer with black pants. I did my makeup, I decided to make it a little light today. I wore kohl under my eyes and little bit of black eye shadow, I also spiked my hair up with a little bit of gel and glitter. I wore my rings and chains and wore black shoes, took my bag and left my room. I went to the campus and I had no clue of where to go and just then I spotted Tessa, she saw me as well and waved and came towards me.

"Hey Magnus, are you ready for the tour around the school?" she asked

"Yahh." I replied

"Great, then let's get started." She said.

And she started showing me around the school, they had different blocks for each type of performing arts. Apparently Tessa does theatre which means she is in a different block. We spoke a lot as she showed me around the school, and she seemed really lovely. I'm glad we got along well. She said that she was did theatre because she loved seeing the world from different people's eyes. When acting she said that she thinks, talks and speaks like the other person and she loved that. A lot people did stare at me a few even complimented my outfit and makeup

Once she showed around she dropped me by the dance block and left, her block was close to mine.

"Bye Magnus! All the best on your first day. We'll meet during the lunch break." She said and left.

"Bye Tessa."

I walked into the building and I felt so nervous, I didn't know where to go and just then I saw somebody walk towards me.

"You must be Magnus bane, the new exchange student?"

"Yes that would be me" I replied

"I'm Mr. Starkweather and I'll be your coach for this year." Said the tall well built man.

"Hello Mr. Starkweather it's nice to meet you" I replied smiling

"come on, I'll introduce you to your class."

Later he introduced me to the entire class, there were a lot of people. He told me to warm up and told me dance, so that he can observe my way of dancing before teaching anything new. I danced and did some of my signature moves and once I was done everybody looked impressed. They applauded me and coach said that I was really good, honestly it made me really happy. The rest of the went well after school I went back to my room and called my dad to tell everything. After a while I called my friends and told them about everything and they were all really happy. Later I put my phone down and went to sleep.

Alec's pov

I came back from school and my mom said she had something very important to talk to me, Izzy and Jace. So she went to drop Max at a friend's house and she was returning while we three were waiting.

"What do you think it's going to be about?" Izzy asked

"I have no idea Iz" Jace replied.

I think it's going to be something about dad but I remained silent because it wasn't my secret to tell.

Just then my mom entered the house and she looked...happy? ok, maybe it's good news.

"hey sweethearts, so like I said there's something important I have to tell you so why don't we sit down, this may take a while." She said as she made her way to the dining table and sat down, while me, Iz, and Jace sat opposite of her.

"so Alec you already know about this so Isabelle and Jace... your dad is cheating on me and it's over between us. I know that this is overwhelming for you all but we are going to figure this out." my mom said.

"That bastard!" Jace mumbled

"I knew that mom...once I overheard dad speaking to this other women over the phone but I was too small and was scared to lose you so I remained quiet," Izzy admitted as a small tear escaped out of her eyes and my mom looked at her with pity and moved to sit next to her and comforted her.

"What do you mean figure this out?" I asked ignoring Izzy

"Look we are getting a divorce." My mom said.

"But I thought we-" I started.

"No Alec there's no point in trying to fix this, now that your dad will be gone soon we need to make a way for our living."

"But you are working," Jace said
"But that's not going to be enough for five of us and moreover it was for your dad's company he might fire me and even if he doesn't I don't want to be working for that son of a bitch."

"Well, then what about us? I mean usually, they divide the kids after the divorce right?" Izzy asked

"No. We are not doing that. I spoke to your dad about this and he chose to start a new family with that affair of his which means all the four of you will be mine and even if he tries to take you away, I won't let that happen." My mom said.

"But that will be the court's decision, won't it," I asked.

"Not if your own dad agreed to it." She replied

"so for our living, I have planned to open a large book store. I have my savings so I have enough money to invest. I'm planning to take a franchisee of a large book store in London. It's the largest one there and I'm planning to open one here in New York."

"That's a great idea!" said Jace and Izzy nodded.

"which means I'll have to go there for a week, two at most. To finish all the legal things. I thought it would be a great idea for all of you to come along as well." My mom said

I froze. That's where Magnus was. Well, it's not like we're going to meet but what if we do.

"A vacation on a working week? Do you think the school will allow it?" Izzy asked

"That they will...Alec are you okay?" my mom turned towards me.

"yah...yes! I'm fine it's just that-" I started

"Wait. Magnus is there in London! Oh my god! You should go to meet him, Alec." Izzy said,

"no Izzy that's not a great idea after he left without even telling me anything, remember?" I replied.

"no Alec you should meet him, besides I heard his birthday is coming up." My mom said

"Where did you hear that?!" Jace asked confused and Izzy chuckled.

"We will be in London exactly the day before his birthday so you are going to surprise him." My mom said excited, honestly, I didn't know why she was more excited than me.

"Well ok, I'll think about it." I replied
