When Was The Last Time I Gave Something Without Expecting Anything In Return?
When was the last time I gave something without expecting anything in return? Actually, a few days ago. My best friend wrote a short story a few weeks ago, and recently she asked for my help to make it more viewed.
Considering that my mom is a English Major, and I have written a few books myself in my personal acc, I was probably the best person she could ask besides her parents.
So over the past few days I've been reading and editing her book, also adding a few things that she wanted but couldn't, trying to do something nice.
And all I really expect from this is her happiness, constructive criticism, and a missing writers block, (who was very annoying before my friend asked for help.)
And I've done a lot of things before without expecting anything in return. Especially if it's something I enjoy. If it's something that I don't enjoy, I ask for something I would consider small. Like a few days ago, my grandparents phones stopped working, and my parents were out, so my mom called me and asked me to fix it.
If it were my parents phones that wouldn't be a problem, but both of my grandparents have hearing, sight, and mind issues, I don't really like either of them to much, and it smelled like tuna down there. Incase you guys didn't know, I haven't eaten seafood since I was 4, and I've been a vegetarian for almost 5 months now.
So I finished fixing my grandparents phones, and when I came upstairs, I told my mom that I would like something in return. She agreed, because if she where in my place, she would want something also. So I asked for some European chocolates.
I've had some European chocolate before, and it's so much better then most stuff from America. Plus I'm probably gonna find the chocolates I want, just so it's exactly what I want, so it's not to much of a hassle for anyone.
So, an example of a favor I did where I don't expect anything in return, and a favor I did where I do!
