“No one likes you. I never did.I just felt sorry for you.  I was just being sympathetic. And the same goes with you Roxie. Actu-”

“Don’t. Call. Me That. After everything you’ve done, you don’t deserve to use any kind of nickname for me.”

“Then what am I supposed to call you?”

“DON’T! Don’t talk to me, don’t look at me, don’t even think about me! I’m done! I’ve dealt with girls like you before, and I don’t want to do it again. But I’m not afraid to.”

“Aww, I’m so scared!” Isabella said with wide eyes. Since she joined the populars, she’s gotten a boyfriend (that boy from Valentine’s Day) and has started wearing a TON of makeup. The biggest change though, is definitely her attitude. she’s become such a bitch, and I can’t understand why. Her words hurt, only because I thought she was my friend. And I don’t know what to do about it. When I zoned back in,
Roxie and Isabella were having a stare off.

“You should be.” Roxie said before she turned away. We walked past the lunchroom, and to the tables outside. I let her cool off a bit before I tell her what my Mother told Marie andI this morning.

“So. . .is it okay if I come over to your house after school and spend the night?”

“Of course. You don’t even need to ask.”

“Is it okay if Marie comes as well?”

“What? Why? I mean, she can come, but. . . why?”

“My parents are hosting this big business party tonight, with a TON of businesses, including theirs. They say it’s an adult only thing, and they don’t want us in the house so they don't have to worry about us. We’ll Marie. Mother told us a little while ago, which is when I asked to spend the night at your house this weekend originally, but Marie couldn’t find anyone. I don’t know if she actually. tried. I’ve gotten to talk with her a little, but not much. I don’t think she actually likes her friends. Except for Ashley, who apparently isn’t a ‘popular’. Anyway, I think she only asked Ashley, and she said no because her grandparents are in town,. So mother said she has to come with me.”

“Ah. That’s fine. I wanted to pull a prank on my family anyway, and I want as much help as I can get!”

I laughed at her expression. “I’ll text MArie and tell her that we’ll pick her up”

“Cool. Now we just have to survive for the rest of the day.”

I turned around in my seat as Marie climbed into the back of Roxie’s car. “Hey Marie. How was your day?”

“Meh. It could have been better. Ashley didn’t come and all the other girls talked about was how pretty I looked in my last pageant. And the stupid thing was WEEKS ago!”

“Ahh. Well, how were your classes then? Learn anything new, or was it just review?”

“A little bit of both. In Social Studies, we finished learning about the Civil War, and in Math we almost finished our second to last unit. English has been a mix of going over what we learned at the beginning of the year and learning new things, and Physical Science was SUPER fun because we made ice cream!”

“Wow! I wish my schooling was that fun.” Roxie grumbled.

“I remember making ice cream. You’ll be making butter soon too. Or was it cream cheese? I don’t remember, but I think it was a weird tasting butter that we put on crackers.”
