"Feel Again"

Friday, October 26th
5:00pm

"Look at all the leaves!" Jillian exclaimed as she and Darren walked through the park.

"It's getting really beautiful out here," he agreed.

"I used to love playing in the leaves when I was a kid."

"Really?"

"It was one of my favourite things to do."

"You really liked rolling around on the ground?"

"Of course! It was fun."

Darren let go of her hand and slipped away.
Jillian turned around to see him throw a handful of leaves at her.

"Hey, come on!" Jillian complained.

"You said it's fun," he shrugged.

Jillian smiled and took his hand and led him over to a pile of leaves.

"You don't expect me to jump into that, do you?"

"No."

Jillian shoved him backwards into the pile of leaves.

"Jillian!"

She laughed.

Darren reached for her, but she jumped back.
Darren struggled to get back on his feet.
Jillian quickly hid behind one of the trees.

"Jill?"

Jillian held her breath.

"Sirius, you're not being funny."

Jillian stifled a laugh.

"Jillian!"

Jillian stayed still.
When Jillian heard footsteps approach her, she sprung out from behind the tree.

"HA!"

Darren jumped. "Holy shit."

Jillian started laughing.

"That wasn't funny!"

"Yes it was," she laughed.

Darren pulled her down into the leaf pile.

"Ah!"

Jillian shoved a handful of leaves at him.
Darren threw leaves at her in return.
Jillian dodged another bunch and laughed.
She tried to wrestle out of the leaves, but Darren pulled her back.

"Darren!"

He laughed and pulled her close to him.
He kissed her and she smiled against his mouth.

"You're right, this is fun," he pulled back.

Jillian kissed him again and Darren helped her to her feet.

"We're... kind of dirty now."

He laughed. "Come on, let's go home."

"So what is it supposed to be?" Darren asked Jillian when they got back to their apartment.

"I don't know, it's like a walk through house with decorations, sound effects, scare tactics. It's really popular with college students because it's close to campus."

"Everyone's going?"

"Yeah."

"That's sixteen people in all."

"It'll be fine, only a few of us go in at a time."

"Alright, I mean if you really want to go."

Jillian kissed him.
