(Chapter 8)
"New Perspective"Monday, January 20th
5:00pm"Who's house is this?" Indigo asked.
"James Quinlan. He's my chemistry teacher," Cassiopeia led them all to a brick house covered in ivy.
"Come on, let's see if we can get closer," Stella said.
They all carefully crept along the side of the back of the house.
"It's a nice house," Indigo commented. "Is he married?"
"Yeah, he is," Cassiopeia answered.
"I think I see his wife," Rebecca told them.
"He has a couple small kids, too," Stella noticed.
"Yeah, if he's having an affair with a student, he has a lot to lose," Indigo said.
"Honestly, I don't think it's him. I see him all the time, he doesn't strike me as that type. But, he's still on the list," Cassiopeia told them.
"He seems pretty happy," Rebecca shrugged.
"A happily married guy with a couple kids isn't the kind of guy to go around having affairs," Indigo speculated.
"You don't know that," Stella said to her.
"What are we hoping to see?" Rebecca asked.
"We're just checking out his home life. Seeing is anything is out of the ordinary. If it feels like he's hiding someone," Stella explained.
"I don't see anything suspicious about him," Indigo concluded.
"Maybe it isn't him," Rebecca shrugged.
"I think we should go before we get caught," Stella said.
"Yeah, let's get out of here," Cassiopeia agreed.
Stella led the girls to another nice house with glass windows.
"Now who?" Rebecca sighed.
"This is Joseph Mitchell's place. He's my math teacher," Stella answered.
"Looks like he lives alone," Indigo said.
"Wait, who's that woman there?" Cassiopeia asked.
"I don't know, but now they're kissing," Rebecca observed.
"Probably his girlfriend," Indigo shrugged.
"Okay, maybe we should go before they do anything else," Stella suggested.
"This is Joshua Walker's house," Indigo led them to a small house down the street.
"The guy Cassie prank called?" Stella asked.
"Yeah, that was hilarious," Indigo laughed.
"He definitely lives alone," Rebecca noticed.
"His life looks pretty boring," Stella shrugged.
"He's an English teacher, they're all boring," Indigo rolled her eyes.
"Maybe he has affairs to spice things up."
"What would he have to lose?" Rebecca asked.
"How about his teacher's license?" Cassiopeia pointed out.
"Any teacher caught having an affair becomes a huge scandal. No one wants that kind of attention, plus they'd be out of work. Anyone would want to keep that secret," Indigo said.
