7:05pm

"What?!" Jillian nearly screamed.

Darren almost looked frightened.
"Whoa, what's wrong?"

"You were the one leaving me those notes?"

"Notes? I gave one to Shae to give to you."

"She never gave it to me."

"Oh," he responded simply.

"What was it?"

"Just saying I'm looking forward to our date. What's wrong, why are you so upset?" He still looked bewildered.

Should I tell him?
Shae told me not to say anything.
But, maybe I can trust him.
Right?

"Someone's been leaving me weird notes," Jillian hesitated.

"What kind of notes?"

"Just... some really weird love notes."

"And you don't know who?"

"No. They never signed their name."

"That's... weird."

"Yeah, it is," she said awkwardly.

"Well... I guess you have a secret admirer," he gave a subtle wink.

What was that?

"Let's just forget about it," Jillian insisted.

"Alright. Well, are you hungry?"

"Very."

Later in the evening, Darren walked with Jillian up to her house.

"That was... really nice," Jillian said sweetly.

Darren smiled.
"I'm glad you liked it."

"I did. Thank you, Darren."

She kissed him softly.

"You're welcome. Maybe... we could do it again," Darren blushed.

"I'd like that."

"Good. Goodnight, Jill."

As soon as Jillian shut the front door behind her, she called out, "Shae!"

Shae came rushing down the stairs.

"Hey! How'd it go? Did he like your outfit?"

"Did Darren give you a note to give to me?" She demanded.

Shae paused.
"Ohh, yeah, that's right. He did."

"What the fuck, Shae?! Why didn't you tell me?" Jillian complained.

"I'm sorry! You got so upset about that Secret Admirer note, I forgot. I didn't want to get you more riled up."

Jillian groaned.
"Well, I freaked out on him when he said he left me a note."

"Relax. Here, I still have it on me."

Shae pulled a piece of paper out of her pocket.
