(Chapter 17)
"Bonus Chapter"This chapter goes over the admirers notes.
It will explain what each note meant and the clues that were hidden inside.Letter #1 (Locker)
By the poem, you can tell this is someone that has known Jillian for a long time, and who has obviously had a crush on her for years.
The only person mentioned through the story Jillian has known since they were very little is Cameron.Letter #2 (Bag)
The second line is a clue as to how the note got into Jillian's bag - the Admirer slipped it in as she was walking by; also indicating that the Admirer isn't in Jillian's bio class.Letter #3 (Mailbox)
The Admirer is very frustrated Jillian won't notice him.
The frustration is justified in the way that they've been so close their whole lives, yet she won't recognise him as more than a friend.Letter #4 (Door)
The Admirer's frustration turns into impatience and anger. This is when he goes full fatal attraction.
This note contains no actual clues as to who wrote it, but does indicate a turning point in personality.Letter #5 (Window)
The second line, 'I'm way closer than you think' is a huge clue as to who the Admirer is - the next door neighbour.
Furthermore, Cameron would obviously be more familiar with and have more access to the outside of Jillian's window.
This also explains why Luke never heard a car come or leave when the notes were dropped at the hose during the day.Letter #6 (Bed)
The Admirer can obviously tell whether or not Jillian is home; who else could know this so easily than the next door neighbour?
Furthermore, it's much easier to watch/keep tabs on someone who lives so close.Letter #7 (Pillow)
The Admirer just wants Jillian to notice him on her own.Letter #8 (Window)
After two weeks, the Admirer's patience has run out.
He's no longer at a place where he cares about his anonymity, because he realises she'll never notice him in a romantic way.
Therefore, he planned to reveal himself, and then kill her.
Up until this point, he hadn't really considered hurting her.
When she attacked the Admirer the first time, he was just startled; he didn't expect her to be awake.
When she tried to pull off his mask, he panicked and got physical only to stop her.
Which is why he simply ran off afterwards.
