Dil ki dhadhak meri sadaa mein tuh
Meri ibteda meri inteha bhi tuh
Chahate hai tuhje chahat se bhi jyada
Meri bandagi mere pyar ki ataa tuh
Mere dil ne jab bhi dua mangi hai
Tera pyar teri wafaa mangi hai
Yeh aqeedat hee nahi mere uns ka agaaz hai.......
Ki mera junoon lau sa jalta hai........You are the beat the call of my heart
My awakening my every want
I want you more than anything
You are my worship, the limit of my love
Whenever my heart has asked for something
It has only asked for you your true love
It is not spiritual but start of our true love
That my passion burns like flame for you.......The lamp was burning brightly, lighting up the small room, her father lay on the bed, coughing occasionally. Her mother was making him sip a warm herbal brew. Vaidyaraj had just left with kaka.
"Gaura dear! You too go and sleep. You must be tired. I will call if I need any5ing."
Gaura smiled at her beloved mother. How could her mother be so calm and patient all the time. She had a lot to learn from her, she thought. Thank god! Her mother was with her, safe and sound. Now they could happily settle here in Abhaneri. They will no longer have the luxuries of Abhaneri but they had more than enough money, thanks to her mother's planning, that they could live extremely comfortably. First she needed to get a house for them to settle in. This guest house was ok but it would be good have a house of our own. Her father's coughing broke into her thought.
Gaura looked at her father, it was hard to believe he was the same man she had grown up with. This man looked so frail and weak, wearing simple peasant garb, he yet carried his aura around him. His eyes looked tired, yet his face held a certain calmness about it, Yes! he had changed so much. Once a man who would not have blinked an eye before insulting or berating anyone, he stood there quietly hands joined listening to others speak about him. Last night had been an emotional time, as he had apologised for all the years he wasted. The way he had mistreated them. He had promised that come what may he would make up for all the lost time. She hadn't known what to believe, her father had lied too many times, but seeing the peace and happiness on her mother's face she had agreed to give her father a second chance. Vaidyaraj had joined them along with Kaka and they had discussed their plan for today. She was happy that her friends Surya, Parth and Chandrika too wanted to live here in Kundalgad with them. She wasn't ready to let her friends go. The lamp was burning dimly, throwing soft shadows on the contours of the two figures sleeping together. She stepped into her room, walking over to where Chandrikaand Sangini were sleeping. Sangini! She had refused to leave with Baba, hugging Gaura refusing to let go. Laughing at her childish antic she and requested Baba to let her stay. There was space next to her on the sleeping mat. Lying down she pulled the light blanket over her self. She tried to sleep but sleep was far far away.
She was missing Rudra so much, she wanted him there with her. Hugging her. Holding her tight in his warm arms. Having spent so much of time together these last few days, it felt odd to be apart from him all of a sudden. She had desperately wanted to go and meet Rudra, but it was too late by the time everyone went to sleep, and her mother sleeping near her she couldn't leave. She had tossed and turned for the longest time, missing the warmth of his body next to her's. She closed her eyes and tried again to sleep. Tomorrow was an important day and she needed her wits around her.The Audience hall
The next day
Late morning......The debate was getting too one sided for his comfort. Suketu and his followers were insistent on not letting Gaura and her family stay. Kaka knew Suketu well! his ambitions were unknown to all. He had watched Suketu over the years, as he from being just a regular shop keeper had become one of the wealthiest and influential men in Pinakipura. He had no idea why Chief Aare had such a blind spot for him, Chief Aare was such an astute man but he somehow never saw through Suketu's true nature. Suketu always hid his true feeling from the chief, he was a very conniving trouble maker, who hid behind others and created trouble. Suketu had fooled many but not him, he, Vishnu had seen through his evil ways a long time back. Maybe he should have warned the chief, he shouldn't have kept it to himself. He was not alone in the way he thought, many in Pinakipura knew his nature well. It was well known that he could go to any extent for money, he was not liked for that. He had seen the hatred in Suketu's eyes when they had entered the hall. He had no doubt that Suketu was up to no good. But this time he was not going to let Suketu win, not when it came to the happiness of the one who mattered the most to him, who was like his own son. Rudra! He had brought Rudra up, taught he everything he knew, since he was a tiny tot. Showering all his love on him since he never had a family of his own. Rudra was the son he never had. Rudra had grown in a fine man, a man any woman would want as her life partner and he deserved a girl who loved him as he was. And Gaura was that girl, a girl he too loved as his own daughter. He had chosen well. He would make sure that Suketu and his daughter's aspirations did not come in between their happiness. That Sambhava! Suketu's daughter wanted Rudra his position. She was like her father in nature, mean, selfish, she did not deserve Rudra.
Rudra had confided in him yesterday evening, to his pleasant surprise Rudra had told him about his deep feelings for Gaura. Whathad led to him rushing in the mad way that he had. Then he had said something very disturbing, bout this feeling he had that someone was behind all the incidents that had been happening with them. Kaka too on hearing all they had gone through had agreed. The chief hadn't sent anyone after Rudra, he was sure about it, else he would have known. So why did Daiwat follow him? According to Rudra, Daiwat had been the reason, that Gaura had been caught by the Abhaneri soldiers. That was fishy, why would Daiwat side with Abhaneri soldiers? Soldiers he did not know to go against his army chief! against Rudra! That to? But could it be!!! No!!! But the more he thought the more.....it was some how connecting....Suketu was Daiwat's maternal uncle. Could it be that Suketu was behind all hat too....He knew Daiwat well, he was a good man, honourable and hardworking. This was most unlike him. He had this strong suspicion that Suketu was behind all this.
Ugh...could it be...I don't know!... I...he did not like the path his thoughts were leading him to..........
"I would like to speak, Chief Aare, if I may?." He spoke loudly breaking through Suketu's diatribe. Everyone turned to look at him. Vishnu was feared and well respected in the community. If he spoke all listened. Chief Aare nodded his head in approval. Vishnu speaking, this was going to be fun. Vishnu rarely bothered to speak or confront anyone, but when he did, no one could, stand against him.
Suketu stood with his mouth open, looking extremely offended at being interrupted thus. Keeping his chuckle in he looked at the seated council members. "We are the Parihanas! We can trace back our lineage a thousand years, but not on this land. This is not the land of our ancestors, many years back we too came and sought refuge here. This land accepted us and we made it our home. Today a family has again come, to seek refuge, a family who are good people. Who have done only good for all of us. Should we refuse them shelter." He looked at all present there. Seeing their reaction. "Let us too with the same grace accept the lady Gaura and her family, that Kundalgad has done to us. We prosper year after year. Do you all want to disregard the lords blessing. I ask you all, the respected committee member and chief Aare are we so insecure, so weak that we can't defend ourselves or give sanctuary to a young woman who has repeatedly put her life in danger to save us all. Have we grown so comfortable that our kshatriya blood does not rage at the thought of confrontation." He looked again at all the people, Yes! Now he had them.
Seeing Suketu opening his mouth to speak, he quickly carried on..... "should we express our gratitude to lady Gaura by throwing her out? Should we? I ask you all!" He paused for effect..... " today if Lady Gaura leaves then Vaidyaraj will leave too. We will loose too great doctors. Where will we all look for treatment if our children fall sick, have an accident? We need them as much as they need us. So don't think we are doing them a favour by allowing them to stay here. Asking them to leave would be like throwing an axe on our own feet. I have put forth my thoughts, and now I leave it to all of you to make the decision." He had no doubts that the decision would go the way he wanted it to. No one had thought that Vaidyaraj would want to leave too. He had them where he wanted them. Suketu was looking livid. He was boiling inside, waiting to burst. Hehehe...this was fun.
