When I get home I find a crushed Joey on the couch flipping through the channels.

"What's wrong?" I ask him and sit down.

"I called dad and invited him to my first football game of the season." He says and I already know where this is going.

"Let me guess....William has Karate or Landon has basketball?"

"Landon has Karate." Joey says and we both sigh in unison.

"I can't keep them straight. Dad is a moron for having those two kids." I say and feel this lump in my throat because I want to kill my dad for continually hurting Joey. I don't even try with my dad anymore because he always breaks my heart and I got tired of it."Isn't Landon still in diapers? Can you have that much focus as a toddler that still craps his pants to kung fu lumber in half?" Joey doesn't even laugh at my joke so I know he's really hurt.

"Why does he not want to come? This is my third year on this team. I'm the starting quarterback, I usually get my name in the paper and I was the only freshman to make the varsity team." Joey points out as my heart breaks at the pain etched on his face.

"Mom will be there, right?"

"No....she says it's too hot and the games are too long." He drops back onto the couch cushions. "There is going to be College recruiters there. I'm so nervous. Every one on the team has a family cheering section except me."

"I'll come! I'll bring Tosh and we'll make posters with your name all over them." I say because seeing him this broken is killing me.

"You hate school functions." He reminds me.

"True. But I love you Brother." He smiles at me and grabs my hand.

"I love you too, Sister." His sweet brown eyes melt my heart.

"You going tonight?" I ask in regards to Gavin's house.

He nods that he is. "I'm gonna call Regina and ask her to come with me tonight. Can I use your car to go get her?" He didn't get a car for his 16th birthday. He got to go to some high falootin' football camp that cost a fortune. He leaves to go call Regina.

I lay back on the couch and think of Tosh loving Hannah. He's so foolish. There is no way my Tosh could fall in love with that mindless skank. He's too good for her. June comes in the play room with a basket full of bathing suits. "These are moms. There are a lot of one pieces, but sexy ones." Her bubbly personality overflowing all over my bad mood.

"You mean slutty ones. The one she wore at the disney pool went inside of her butt hole." I say and laugh at my own joke and wish Tosh was here to laugh with me.

"I loved that one." June says with a adorable pouty face. "She looked like a goddess that day."

She's kind of right but I can't admit it to her or anyone. Admitting that would sound as if I looked up to my mom in some way and I don't.

When the twins arrive with Hannah I'min a red one piece that is so skimpy I may as well be naked. It cuts high on the hips and plunges low on my boobs. The back has many straps and it was like a jig saw puzzle trying to get in it. I'm in my room. Contemplating this one or a solid black one that is just as revealing but it's black.

"Let me in." I hear Tosh behind a quick knock. .

"Don't laugh." I say with my door cracked open and my face pressed into the crack.

"Why would I?" He asks with a small smile. A smile I trust.

I open the door and let him in. " I only have that speedo you have forbidden me to wear." I say and he pops his eyes in a look of stupor. I close my eyes waiting for him to tell me I look ridiculous.
