The whole school is buzzing about Jonas and Tristan and it doesn't go without notice by me, that my name is being circulated around with theirs. By the time Jonas picked  us all up after school Monday, people had asked me several times if we were dating. So, that is going to catch like wild fire.

The next day was still more gossip and rumors. My favorite though is that Jonas and I are together but I'm knocked up with Tristan's kid. Just shoot me now. Tristan has been loving all the attention he's getting, he loves being in the midst of a scandal even if he is the one that got punched. Just laughing it up with his giant black eye and bruised cheek. Trying to hate him is a full time job. I've known him since Kindergarten, his parents are nice and his older sister Taylor is one of the sweetest  people I've ever had the company of. It's weird and rather uncomfortable to admit but there is something so witty and sincere about him.

As far as Jonas goes, he has always been well liked by girls, It's even more so that he punched out West Chandler's Sexist pig in the name of my turkey tits. His fame has now sky rocketed to legendary status is what Tosh told him last night.

"Well, it was pretty bad ass." Jonas said. I got up and walked home because his arrogance made me sick. Or maybe it was that all the girls want him and I feel threatened. I ignored his text messages and he knocked on my window at 10pm and we made out for a little and he didn't touch my boobs, again.

Today is Thursday and his last day of suspension. I sit down in calculus and gaze at his empty seat and feel a little pang in my chest. I miss him even though he is arrogant and all the girls are in love with him. I guess I can't blame them.

"Hey, Hey Little Jackie Jones!" Tristan beams. "Last day before he comes back, don't look so down."

"Shut up!" I say with a air of amusement while trying to hide it on my face. I hate to let him know that he amuses me. It's like I'm surrendering to the enemy.

He sits down and immediately turns around to face me.

"I'm very happy for you guys." I flinch up to his eyes and believe it or not they strike me as really sincere.

"You? And why would you of all people be happy about this?" I roll my eyes.

He smiles broader and leans in. "I've known you since Kindergarten. I know you very well and despite contrary belief I think the world of you. Of course Jonas is my best friend and for years I have watched you two go back and forth....back and forth....He has been in love with you for so many years and he used to confide in me all the time about it. I don't know... I just started trying to get you guys to see it. Jonas jealousy is such a clear indication of his feelings but you aren't a easy sell. So, I just kept up being a dick so he would come to your defense."

I squint my eyes. "That doesn't even make sense. You have asked me out for years." I am truly stumped that he was trying to get me to go out with him knowing how his "best friend"  felt about me. I don't know why anything he says or does surprises me anymore.

"Yep! I knew you'd never say yes. It was all so you'd see how much he loves you. Listen, if I was dating some chick and my friend was checking her out I wouldn't care. I haven't ever cared....but you see if you love the girl then you'd go berserk. I have said many disgusting things to Jonas about his past chicks and he has never even flinched. I say something innocent to you like you look nice and he'll come unhinged. I've been pushing you two together for years." His crazy expression and enthusiasm make me laugh out loud.

"So, you are suggesting that in some weird way we're together because of you?" I can't help but to laugh again at this bizarre conversation.

"I mean I can't take all the credit but yeah....I'm like the biggest fan of Jax and Jonas. Truly! I promise. You can ask anyone in my family." He puts his hand on his chest as if he's being legally sworn in.
