"Well, when was the last time you had it?" Joey asks as I dig through my backpack in the front seat of Jonas jeep.
I have lost my phone on this dreary Monday. This is the second week being back to school after Winter break and it's drizzly and cold. I look at Jonas for help. I honestly can't even remember the last time I had my phone.
"I don't remember you on it all day. In computers you didn't even listen to music." He's right, I didn't. He and I were too busy flirting and laughing all class.
"Do you have 'find my friends' still Joey?" I turn to look at him as he nods yes and begins pulling up the app that we have our phones linked to so we can find one another.
"Looks like it's here on campus." So with that we all get out of the car to try and locate my phone. Tosh goes to the front office to ask if anyone turned it in while Jonas and I go to all my classes and Joey goes to the cafeteria to have a look. After Jonas and I strike out in all of my classes, we separate so I can go check the ladies rooms I used today. When I go into the last one I find Lauren holding my phone.
"That's mine!" I say closing the distance and stretching my hand out towards her to give it back.
"Oh, I know. These text messages between you and Jonas are steamy." Her eyes are just pure evil and filled with disgust for me.
"Did you intentionally take it?" I go to grab it out of her evil little clutches but she twists her body so I can't reach it.
"You make these things so easy, you keep it in that flimsy mesh side pocket just begging for it to be looked at. This picture of you on the beach with Jonas is just too cute. Was this before or after he popped your cherry?" Her evil laugh fills the bathroom and makes my eyes start to fill with tears. I hate her and I hate my phone for betraying me. "You really should have a lock on your screen."
"Just give it back." I can feel my hands trembling. I really hate confrontation. She's so nasty and I don't know how to stand up to her. I hear my name and yell to Jonas who has the bathroom door cracked.
"Lauren the psycho has my phone!" I yell with my hands still trembling and he walks in and looks so out of place in the restroom. I would be laughing at his chagrinned expression of being in the ladies room, if I wasn't about to cry.
"Lauren?" He asks her. "You have her phone?"
"I found it and was just going to return it." She says pushing me aside and walking up to Jonas. She lays her diseased hands on his beautiful chest and I see red. That bitch! He pushes her hands off immediately, disgust etched onto ever line or angle of his gorgeous face. He grabs the phone from her.
"Come on, Babe." Jonas reaches his hand out and I take it letting him lead me out of the bathroom. I feel her hand go up to my hair and she yanks it really hard and my neck cranks back and when I let out a screech of pain she quickly lets go as Jonas turns around.
He raises his eyebrow and then looks from me to Lauren then back to me. "You okay?"
"Let's just go." I push in front of him so he can be between me and her. I shouldn't put up with that from her. I wish I wasn't afraid she'd kick my ass, but I am.
When we get out I call Tosh and Joey to let them know we found the missing phone. When I get in the car I stay silent and avoid all questions pertaining to my phone by answering quickly and with few words. She's gonna do something awful with her information.
